Title: Does anyone here repair Duos?

Excuse me if this is a violation of anything.  I didn't see a rule against this so I assumed it was safe.

Anyway, a month and a half ago I bought a US Turbo Duo off a website.  This one has a region mod installed.  Anyway, it won't read hucards and the CD-ROM drive is erratic--it makes whining sounds and sometimes it reads discs, sometimes it doesn't.  I already tried to fix it myself but I wound up making it worse (the CD-ROM problems didn't start until I opened the console), so I'd rather have someone else try to fix it.

So does anyone know a Duo repair service, or am I better off getting a different system?  (If I went with that choice, I'd love to have the original PC Engine and CD expansion in the suitcase thing... I used to have one of those but I had to sell it).
