OK, instead of another playthrough and that junk I decided to do a quick lookthrough video of my TG collection and see some of those awesome (and not so awesome) cover arts. I don't know who they hired to commission some of these works but a lot of them are just awful.

awesome video man!

some of the US games do have horrible cover art still not quite as bad though as the cover art on a lot of Master System games.

Definitely, you have the generic white graph paper look with some small piece of art in a corner especially for the earlier games. I still don't give a pass to some of this TG-16 art though.

The master system has no cover art.

The master system has no cover art.
Um, what?

Cool vid, because of nostalgia I tend to like the US box art even though I agree most of it is terrible. At least we had Working Designs who used the original cover art for their HuCard releases. it's a shame they decided to redo the CD releases though.
I'm also jealous you have Soldier Blade and the box, a game that has been eluding me for a long time.

Well some games do, but take wonder boy It's just a tiny picture of a kid jumping over a snail. My comment really didn't make sense but some games have very little box art.

*All games

Yeah, I don't know what happened with that Cosmic Fantasy 2 artwork there.

The cover of cosmic fantasy 2 looks like they had a contest among 8th graders or the CEO at working designs wanted to display his kids art work.

But the diorama art for Exile: Wicked Phenomenon makes up for it.

Awesome video and a great collection you have.
Most of the cover art looks decent for the time period. The Sausage Rounds box art also looks pretty tasty. =P~

That one was pretty awesome

Thanks, some of the art isn't too bad but compared to some of the work on the Atari 2600 and NES, most of the TG coverart is just lacking. Heh heh, I only have that box to piss off a friend.
