I really want this game but it seems a bit expensive. what is the going rate for this?
If anyone has any US HU Cards that they'd be prepared to ship to the UK then I am game to buy some. I am interested in anything I havent got yet...
Games that I have are Bravoman, Ordyne, Dragon Spirit, Blazing Lazers, Galago '90, Vigilante, Legendary Axe, Crater Maze, China Warrior, Victory Run & J.J and Jeff.
Anyone has games asides from the above that they'd like to, or would be prepared to, unload to me in the UK then give me a shout. They'll be going to a good home and used by someone who is genuinely passionate about the turbo grafx. BRAP!

...oh just remembered that I have Bonks adventure on its way to me already also.

$25 is way too much. For that price, you should at least be getting the manual and case as well.
-
Yeah it should be complete for $25. I paid $11 shipped ($3 shipping) for a loosie. That was on eBay.

The PC Engine version of Splatterhouse fetches a higher price than the Turbo Grafx version since it is apparently uncensored or has additional stages or something like that.

It just uncut that's all for the pce version of splatterhouse.

Different colored mask, and the stage 4 boss is an upside down cross instead of a floating head or whatever. That's pretty much it.
-
Was it an upside down cross in the Arcade version? I'm assuming yes.

I have been wanting to pick up the PC Engine version because I heard it had some differences but if that is all that they consist of, I'm glad I didn't pick it up. Is the mask red?

Does anyone know what changes exist between the arcade version and the Turbo and PCE one? Like as far as content goes?

I believe all the big changes were for the Turbob, the only exception is a mural (Jesus, Mary, and Joseph?) beyond the altar that was deleted on the home versions. In addition to the red mask and upside down cross boss that nat noted, the only other changes were the deletion of all the crosses in the church (one on each spandrel in the gallery and two on the altar, lamely 'fixed' by removing the altar entirely and running the columns above the top of the screen), the cross marking the end boss grave was changed to a generic headstone, and the mirror Rick sports a blue mask instead of dirty white.
-
To summarize, all the JP version has that the US version doesn't:
- Rick's mask is white
- Crosses in the church background and an altar
- 4th stage boss is an upside down cross
- Cross on the final boss grave
- Mirror Rick has a different colored mask
Not exactly make-or-break stuff here. If you already own one version, there isn't a lot of incentive to pick up the other.
