Case 1) PC Engine Duo. The hucards works fine. But the cd-rom don´t spin. I open it an clean the wheels, put some "grease" (i don´t know if this is the word, sorry i´m spanish) but still didn´t spin. I press with the finger the lock button and the len go to the inner part go up and down three times and stop. Any idea?
Case 2) I lost the AC Adapter for the Duo-R. Can anyone tell me the expecifications so i can buy other? DC9V? DC10V? Negative center? Thanks
Case 3) The IFU-30. It doesn´t switch on. I don´t know if is the AC Adapter or the ifu itself. Since i´m not very prepared (i´m near a noob) on reapiring. Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance.
I know the easy way is to send to some of you that i know are good people repairing the duos, but the shipping cost from Spain to USA would be very high.
Edit: Can i change the lens from the Duo-R to the Duo? It seems very similar but i see two soldered wires attached to a screw that are different. ???

Power specs for the Duo-R: 9V 1000mA, positive center. As for the rest of your questions, I'm sorry but I'm not well-versed enough in PCE/Turbo stuff to answer. Someone will certainly jump in and offer up some suggestions, I'm sure.

Well. That´s a begin. Many thanks for the specs.
It´s this one?

Out put adaptor : 5.5mm x 2.1mm.
This will fit on the Duo-R?

I may have an extra original Duo R power brick. I'll look for it tonight.
As far as the PC engine Duo... if it's never had capacitors, I'd start by having them changed, then I'd change the laser if caps didnt fix your no read issue.
Not sure on the IFU 30... :-k I'd probably have to see it in person to figure that out.

Hi blue. Thanks for the clue.
I´ll check the cap replacing post, since i need to change the ones for the audio, i´ll check for others to see if any of them are directly related to the cd unit.
Thanks

I know there are caps relating to the cd drive since I've had some units that wouldnt play discs, then after a full cap swap they would read them no problem.
If you're going to do the audio caps, please, PLEASE do all the caps. If you need a kit, let me know!
Still looking for that Duo-R AC adapter :-k

Do a google or ebay search for an Asus 700 laptop ac adapter. The ac adapter even has the correct polarity and tip for a duo-r.

duo and duo-r use the same drive, and can be swapped
