HI to ALL!
I'm NEW and I HAVE a TECHNICAL QUESTION about PC ENGINE DUO-R:
I have thid console with original power suplly and it funtions very well but to use it ( i live in Italy) i must use a step-down convertor (220 to 110 Volts)...The Question is:
- Do you know any AC POWER SUPPLY THAT directly gives to DUO-R 9v and 1000 ma from 220 Volts.......or similar?
- Do you know any ac power supllies of other consoles that are good for DUO-R ( WITH THE SAME TECHNICAL REQUESTS and WITH THE SAME PLUG o fthe DUO-R)?
now bye and thanks for all!......and REPLY ME SOON! :p

There is, but I cannot remember. I did see some one selling such a AC adaptor on ebay a few months ago, but I don't know how reliable they are. They might be just ordinary multi-adaptors.

I suggest sticking to your original AC adaptor and step down converter. It's much more reliable and safer.

There seems to be tons of power supply questions since the summer time.

Just try and visit your local electronic dealer like Conrad Electronics and ask him for an adaptor with the right specifications. I have all my consoles hooked up to normal adaptors except the PC-FX because it hat the adaptor built right into the console. My PCE and SGX for example are hooked up to "normal" standard adaptor with multiple connectors.

Agreed. Go to Conrad (http://conrad.com/) and search for "Voltcraft SNG". That's the adaptor you want.

I'll remember to do that if I ever get a similar problem, like how I almost did when I thought my PCE CD wouldn't have one.
