Thanks for any advice! :)

$5 per game is a decent deal for these. Not great by any means, but certainly not a rip off.
As for how many of these are actually GOOD...
Well, Alien Crush is fantastic. That's... about it.
Drop Off is "falling block" style game that most people hate, although I dig it to a certain degree (you'll probably hate it). Keith Courage was the original system pack in and is a good, solid game. China Warrior is one of the shallowest games you'll ever lay hands on, it's purpose was more of a "tech demo" of what the system could do (sprites taking up 1/3rd of the screen, parallax scrolling, etc) to show off in the early days. JJ and Jeff is an awful abomination. World Court Tennis is probably the worst tennis game on the console. You'll either love or hate Power Golf. I love it, personally, but I realize I'm in the vast minority (see Drop Off). Its biggest shortcoming is that there is only one course to play, but it's a fine golf sim.
Cratermaze, on the other hand, I've never played so I can't really comment on it. It seems the general consensus is that it's a decent game.

What Nat said +
Cratermaze is one of my favorites. World Court Tennis is a great 4 player game as well.
-
Cratermaze and Alien Crush are great games. I also like JJ & Jeff, though I imagine I'm the only one. If I didn't have most of those already, I'd definitely toss out forty bucks for them. To be honest though, I'd offer 30. Decent deal as is.

lol cratermaze, teh lost doraemon.

Doraemon is the only version I have right now. It's mostly awesome. I like the different music and weird bean pie (?) icons instead of treasure chests.

I guess I'll wait for a better deal, or try to get slien crush alone, I guess, thanks for the advice!
-
Have no fear: Alien Crush, while a great game, is also one of the cheapest. There's no reason you can't find it for around $5-8 on its own.
-
alien crush is a great pinball game, tho i like devils crush better, i own and play them both
Keith Courage is a solid game, but common as dirt as it was included with the system.
i don't play sports games, so tennis and golf i wont comment on.
haven't played the others

Is Power Golf the one that you need to look into the manual to see how far each club hits? If that is the case, that game is trash, and definitely bottom 5 in the entire library.

One man's trash is another man's treasure.

I think it is actually pretty cool that you have to refer back to the manual during gameplay; that seems kind of immersive.
Instead of opening another thread, I have a couple questions (since I'm such a turbonoob).
What are some platformers to look for on this system? And side scrolling shmups?
[
I only own three games :P being Keith Courage, Aero Blasters and Ninja Spirit.
(Maybe it's time I get Paypal...)]

Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu and New Adventure Island are stellar platformers on the turbo and definitely worth owning.

What are some platformers to look for on this system?
Bonk: is the system mascot and a very popular platform game series.
JJ and Jeff: a title you mentioned in the original post is a decent platformer.
Unfortunately though you would really want to play the Japanese PC Engine version as the US port is censored.
Legend of Hero Tomna:
Dragon's Curse: Great game this, has RPG elements to it.
Legendary Axe and Legendary Axe II: are very popular, I find them mediocre but I'd be in a minority on that one.
If you are able to play Japanese PC Engine games there are loads more...
-
Don't forget Splatterhouse, the game all the kiddies wanted back in the day.
-
I haven't heard of Dragon's curse, it sounds pretty cool. Though I've tried Bonk a few times (in an emulator), and did not like it. I think I didn't give it fair try, though. What pc engine platormers are worth emporting? If I do import a pc engine, it will not need any modifications playing JAP games, correct (I assume because CAN and JAP are NTSC)?
-
Dragon's Curse is the 4th game in the Wonderboy series.
A "sub-par" version was also released on the SEGA Master System as "Wonderboy III: The Dragon's Trap." (Yeah, that's a "III" and not a "IV." I guess since the SMS didn't get a port of the REAL Wonderboy III, Monster Lair, they decided to make things confusing on us.)
I say "sub-par" because the SMS version has naturally inferior graphics, and seems to run at only 30 frames per second.

Why does no one like JJ and Jeff? :-s
-
Because it's a poor game?
-
Brining JJ & Crap over could have precluded us from getting a GOOD game ;)
If you want good platformers (besides the already mentioned gem that is Dragon's Curse)... try:
Son Son II (a MUST own)
GENJI TSUSHIN AGEDAMA (a personal fave)
BLUE BLINK (aka AOI BLINK)
HORROR STORY
HANY ON THE ROAD
MAKAI PRINCE DORABOCCHAN (a kid Dracula game)
...and while easy games
DRAGON EGG
KAISOU CHŌJIN SCHBIBIN MAN 3.

Lots like JJ and Jeff, well more it's Kato & Ken the uncensored PC Engine original.
It got voted best game of 1989 on this forum.
