Another Silly Forum game: You answer the 'what if' question with what you predict would have happened. Then add your own 'what if' and another person answers that one and so on and so on......
What if Mortal Kombat would have hit the TurboGrafx-16 exclusively in late 1992/ early 1993?
-
The system would have shat diamonds.
-
I would have been totally indifferent to it.
What if the PC Engine was designed in the shape of a giant phallus?
-
It would have been among the killer apps for its time and would have gotten other companies on board to do more games through them. Due to the success of MK, Capcom might have grown some balls with the whole Nintendo deal.

Depending on the functionality (rumble feature) would have been very popular with teh ladies! :)
what if the PCFX would have been backwards compatible with CD/SCD/ACD?
-
It would NOT have had most games for little girls!
-
The brilliant minds of the NA operations would've marketed it ineffectively (mail order only perhaps), consequently nobody would given a shit and they wouldn't have made back the licensing costs. On the other hand, had they known what they were doing and had a decent budget, it would've sold a few systems and made them lots of money, much like it did for Sega.

It wouldn't have died with a whimper. It would have been CAWsome!

The enormous licensing fee needed to obtain it as an exclusive would have killed NEC/TTI/whoever it was at the time even faster, thus robbing us of all the late games people enjoy paying ridiculous money for now.
And it absolutely positively would not have been worth it. MK basically sucks shit.

you guys are supposed to follow teh rulez!!
1.)You answer the 'what if' question with what you predict would have happened.
2.)add your own 'what if' in your post and another person answers that one and so on and so on......
See sunteamPaul's post for a perfect example:
I would have been totally indifferent to it.

What if Turbo Duo's, PC-Engine Duo's, Super CD-Rom 2's, and Turbo Expresse's didn't have such a high failure rate due to caps?
-
BlueBMW would have more free time on his hands... to play LaserActive!
What if TTi/Icom had made Johnny Turbo the Video game using the Camp California engine? Would it have sold like hotcakes?
I think it would've.

No. You, Tats, der Adol wundertwins and Thibaut would be the only owners of the game.

We would have put that mouse to good use with some Solitare.
What if TZD was still going strong?
-
Redfrog never would've been where they are today haha. Also TZD would still be sitting on quite a few sealed "rare" games.
What if the turbo grafx was more popular in the states than the PC-Engine was in Japan?
-
700+ games? Total market domination.

The PC-FX would have came out in the US, and taken the place of the Playstation! An expansion would later be released for total backwards compatibility with Turbo CD games!!
What if a next gen Bonk title comes out of the Wii-U launch? Would you buy it?

Bomber Man and Monster Lair of course.
What games would Hudson have made if they release Sega style 3D Glasses for the PC Engine?

It would have made absolutely no difference. You can't beat a failure rate of 0% through a generation or two.
What if a new PCE hardware failure begins showing up 50 years after the console launched?

Then a 70 year old BlueBMW will spasmatically get on the case! :-$
If NEC went apeshit and released a next gen console in 2013 what would it be called?
