Lets go with one from each library
so one huey, one CD, and one SCD game.
So actually if you could only keep 3 games...
which would you keep?
I can't even decide right now, lol
-
PC Genjin
Ys I.II
Gate of Thunder
Easy.
-
The Legendary Axe (http://www.thebrothersduomazov.com/2009/05/legendary-axe.html)
Ys Book I & II (http://www.thebrothersduomazov.com/2009/03/ys-book-i-and-ii.html)
Shape Shifter (http://www.thebrothersduomazov.com/2009/04/shape-shifter.html)
I would want an ACD too, so... Madou Monogatari (http://www.thebrothersduomazov.com/2009/04/madou-monogatari.html)
-
It's like Sophie's choice, except I care. So hard!
Off the top of my head, I'd say Soldier Blade, Ys Book I & II, and Gate of Thunder (I'm cheating and keeping six games!). Make it four to include an Arcade Card title, and I'd keep Kabuki Itouryodan.
-
Order of the Griffon
Ys Book I & II
Dracula X
Ask me in a week and I bet I'd change my mind about at least two of those....
-
Similar:
Deep Blue and Golden Axe, what else would you need ;-) LOL
This is tough! Maybe:
Devil Crash
Ys Book I&II
Dracula X
-
Aeroblasters
Ys I & II
Kabukiden
-
SCD= Winds of Thunder
CD= Spriggan
Hu= Soldier Blade
there's my three :D
ACD= Sapphire
SHu= mmm... not sure.... maybe 1941 Counter Attack.... actually no it'd be Daimakaimura
Hu+= Darius Alpha
PCFX= Chip Chan Kick
LD= I don't own any so can't keep only one.
-
Hu - Dragon's Curse
CD - Ys I&II
SCD - Drac X (or Ai Cho Aniki, tough call)
ACD - Sapphire (the only other one I've played is Fatal Fury 2)
-
bartre is RIGHT on with Dragon's Curse but even though its one of my all time favorites, gotta go with replay value.
HuCard-Alien Crush
CD-Ys I&II
SCD-GOT
ACD-Sapphire
-
While driving and thinking, I decided on:
HuCard: PC Genjin
CD-ROM: Ys I and II (Almost picked Cosmic Fantasy 1, then went hey wait maybe Spriggan? then went wait nevermind Adol is a bamf)
Super CD-ROM: Psychic Storm (I was going to pick Snatcher, but the MSX one is just as good)
This gives me a platformer, an action rpg, and a vertical shooter...
I didn't bother with arcade card CD games because there aren't that many so the variety spread isn't going to be super high.
I'd keep Sapphire for Arcade card games. I like vertical shooters a lot more than Horizontal.
Super Grafx wise, Battle Ace. f*ck you all, that games awesome. its the China Warrior of SGX games!
-
Hu: Image Fight (Best shooter I've ever played)
CD2: Ys III (takes me back in time with its atmosphere and soundtrack)
SCD2: Image Fight 2 (Similar to the first but with upgraded music and sound FX!)
ACD: Fatal Fury 2 (Upgraded soundtrack to the Neo Geo classic, with better music than special)
SHu: Daimakaimura (classic gem!)
If teh PCE is the only system I'm allowed to keep, then I'm also hiding a copy of Street Fighter II' somewhere on my person :-"
-
Man, this is a great question. I can't say that my picks would stand the test of time, but right now I think I'd pick:
HuCard: Order of the Griffon
CD: Spriggan
SCD: Gate of Thunder 4-in-1
ACD: Sapphire
HuCard would probably change over time ( I *LOVE* Blazing Lazers / Super Star Soldier / Final Soldier / Bomberman '93/'94 / Alien Crush / Devil's Crush / Military Madness / Air Zonk / Ninja Spirit / Galaga '90 / ...and probably a few others I'm not thinking of right now, but this is what I've been playing a lot of right now)
CD is another tough one as I've technically spent way more time playing Ys Book I and II, but Spriggan is so frickin' cool!
Star Parodier is also a close nomination because I can't stop playing it.
-
HU:Ninja Spirit
CD:Ys 1&2
SCD:Dracula X
ACD:Sapphire
-
Huey: Bomberman'93 or PC Genjin 1 or damn I dont know WTF (quite hard)
Super Huey: Daimakaimura or Adlynes (most probably Aldynes since I can have Dai on other platforms)
CD: Seirei Senshi Spriggan (easy)
SCD: Drac X or Gate of Thunder (4in1 prefered 8)) (very hard)
ACD: Ginga Fukei Densetsu Sapphire (easiest)
-

I just realized that OotG isn't a PCE game, it only came out in teh US of A. So I wonder if that counts. If not, then I would go for Ninja Spirit!
-
ummm... Normally, I'd say PC Denjin II for the huey, but actually maybe puzznic. That would probably have more replay. Or maybe Street Fighter II...
Maybe I'm thinking too "Desert Island".
I choose:
Huey: PC Denjin II
SCD: Dracula X
ACD: Saphire
SGX: Ghouls and Ghosts.
It was close, I nearly stuck PC Denjin and Rainbow Islands in :(
-
SHu= mmm... not sure.... maybe 1941 Counter Attack.... actually no it'd be Daimakaimura
Super Huey: Daimakaimura or Adlynes (most probably Aldynes since I can have Dai on other platforms)
Are you allowed to keep single favourite games from other platforms??
If yes it would alter my answers... :D
-

It didn't say any different anywhere :)
-
Well, it was originally supposed to be the 3 (Hu/CD/SCD), but it turned into Hu/CD/SCD/ACD/SGX... lol
-
yeah, why not ACD when CD & SCD. why not super huey, when also huey? makes completely sense.
-
If I could only keep one pce game I'd have to find a new hobby :-({|=
-
yeah, why not ACD when CD & SCD. why not super huey, when also huey? makes completely sense.
because those two libraries are dinky so there isn't going to be alot of variety, lol
-
If we're including ACD and SuperGrafx, then I'd pick Sapphire and Daimakaimura.

There's a Zonk II HuCard?

what makes it much easier to choose one, lol

Lol, now I'm confused as well. And he didn't even take use of the CD option, lol
-
Hu Gunhed
cd rayxanber II
scd Gate of Thunder 3 in 1
-
HuCard: Bonk's Adventure
CD-ROM: YS Book I&II (No question)
Super CD-ROM: Dracula X (No question)
Hucard is kinda tough, but I think I'd stick with Bonk's Adventure even though there might be better games technically. I'll always remember Bonk's Adventure as the game that made me really really love the Turbo/PCE.
-
cd rayxanber II
:lol:
No shit sherlock.
-
The question is... am I allowed to keep the TG16 counterparts of the PCE game? If so, that would completely alter this question into PCE exclusives only. I need specification before I answer!
-
this is PCE board. NO ROUND EYE
-
Hu - Dragon's Curse
I just got this game in the mail today. It. is. RAD.
I only have a wee handful of PCE games (so far!), but I'll post their equivalent from my collection:
Neutopia
Ys I & II
Cotton
Those are the US titles too, I guess. Oh well.
-
Air Zonk
Ys I&II
Dynastic Hero
Though in compiling this list, it made me realize how good the U.S. CD games that weren't released in Japan were. I love Beyond Shadowgate, Camp California, and Splash Lake (I think this was exclusive).

Splash Lake was released on PCE as well.
I almost put Air Zonk as my only HuCard, but I backed off when I thought about how short it is. I like that I can play through Neutopia for several hours, once a year or so (in this hypothetical situation). Although, in support of Air Zonk, you could probably play that game once or twice a month for a loooonnng time (a few years, anyway) and still have fun. Arcade-style games are like that in general, I suppose.
-
I really thought about Coryoon for my Huey, but Bonk is one of those games I just can't ignore!
Keith Courage as well. Keith Courage is glorious.
-
I would NEVER get rid of my Keith Courage.
-
I could NEVER get rid of my Keith Courage.
yeah, it's hard to give those things away.
-
Huey: Bomberman 94
SCD: Dracula X
CD: Shubibinman 3
-
Gate of Thunder
-
If I could cheat and use the Gate of Thunder 4-in-1 as my SCD choice, it would go:
HuCard: Dragon's Curse
CD: Ys Book I & II
SCD: Gate of Thunder 4-in-1
If not, it would go:
HuCard: Bonk's Adventure
CD: Ys Book I & II
SCD: Lords of Thunder
-

Actually it's quite easy since people always need spare cases. But no Turbo collection feels "right" without good old Wataru in there...
-
Hu: Air Zonk
CD: Ys I & II
SCD: Gate Of Thunder
ACD: Sapphire
Interesting how Ys I & II is in most of y'alls lists.
-

It's pretty obvious why though, isn't it, it's awesome!
-
If I could just keep one Huey and one CD of any type
Hu: Power Eleven
Disc: Bomberman 94 Taikenban
Complete multiplayer goodness. Got to figure in a 20 years I'll be bored unless I go multiplayer.
-
Probably:
HuCard: R-Type
CD: Ys I&II
SCD: Rondo of Blood (Gate of Winds of Thunder are close seconds)
So, pretty much the same as everyone else, except I said R-Type. I MUST count R-Type I&II as the same game!!!!!
-
HuCard: Galaga 90
CD: Cosmic Fantasy 2
SCD: Beyond Shadowgate
-
Hu: Bomberman '94
CD: Ys I&II
SCD: Gate of Thunder 4 in 1
-
Yeah if I had to choose between a Bomberman it definitely would be Bomberman 94.
-
Huey: Air Zonk
1.0 CD: Altered Beast
2.0 CD: Spriggan
3.0 CD: Gate of Thunder 4 in 1
Arcade CD: Sapphire
Super Grafx: Daimakaimura
-

Oh, you cheating so-and-so! :lol:
-
Okay I put this off because I just can't decide. But, with that said:
Huey- Dungeon Explorer (I can't love without this tuneage)
CD-ROM2- Spriggan
Super CD-ROM2- Gate of Thunder 4-in-1 (Runner up: Dracula X)
ACD- Sapphire
SGX- teh 'Daddymakumura
-
Huey- Dungeon Explorer (I can't love without this tuneage)
"Hold on, Honey. I need to put on some romantic music."
...enter DE chiptunes...
= Pure Awesome!
-

I didn't mean to write "love", I meant "live". But I guess it works both ways. :wink:

Lol, I was just thinking, that's one awesome type..hahaha.

yeah, R-Type is pretty awesome.
oh wait did you mean typo? :D
YOU TYPO'D THE WORD TYPO. LOLOLOLOLWEFGRAHGJR;THSKJ;DKGJ jfsdfnuh

Awesome Typo² :D

That made me chuckle harder than I have laughed all day. :lol: HAHAHAHAHFjfjkdsla'!!!
-
I am to please.
or annoy. all depends who you are, lol
-
Rondo... Bar none.
-
Probably Devil Crash, for this Turbo nut. Demonic pinball never gets old.
-
Devil crash makes me bust a Turbo nut all the time.
-

Ah, I mixed my Denjins with my Genjins.
I thought the CD option included ACD there somehow. Rainbow Islands then ^___^

I'd keep the 4-in-1 Super CD with Gate of Thunder. Bonk's Adventure, Bonk's Revenge, Gate of Thunder, AND the hidden Bomberman? Oh yeah!
But, if that doesn't count, I'd pick Bonk's Adventure.
-
Well, it was originally supposed to be the 3 (Hu/CD/SCD), but it turned into Hu/CD/SCD/ACD/SGX... lol
I wanted as many as I could and quite frankly don't feel the least bit bad about it.
-
I would pick Nectaris, its the one game that I never get tired of playing.
-
HU : Toilet Kids. haha~~
-
Strip Fighter II is all I need.
-
hmm can't decide yet but between Hu = parodius DA!? and Magical Chase
CD = Ys I & II
SCD - Dracula X
-
If I could only keep one single PCE game, I'd be mad and would only want to play the types of games that have reminder words related to attacking or are fighting-related, so as to allow me to vent my frustrations about the fact that somehow I'm not allowed to have more than one game [one of each format, that is]:
HuCard: Street FIGHTER II Champion Edition
CD: FIGHTING Street
SCD: RANMA 1/2 - DATŌ, GANSO MUSABETSU KAKUTŌ-RYŪ!
===
ACD: Art of FIGHTING
SGX: 1941 - Counter ATTACK
-
for me it would have to be Drac X with its amazing graphics and music, 2 playable character and multiple possible game route I am sure I'll never get sick of playing it!
-
Huey - Devil's Crush
CD - Ys 1-2
SCD - Neo Nectaris
====
CD ROM 2 - Splash Lake
ACD - Sapphire
SGX - Ghouls & Ghosts
-
CD = Monster Lair
HuCard = Blodia
-
hucard= pc denjin
CD= Ys I & II
SCD= dracula X
-
HuCard = Blodia
Heh. Why does this not surprise me?
-
Huey - Devil's Crush
CD - Ys 1-2

====
CD ROM 2 - Splash Lake
ACD - Sapphire
SGX - Ghouls & Ghosts
Ys I & II is a CD-Rom 2 game. You'd be double dipping...
-
HuCard = Blodia
Heh. Why does this not surprise me?
I love the two songs in that little Huey. If only they had included more tunes!
-
Soldier Blade
Ys I & II
Lords of Thunder
-

[/quote]
A technicality considering it is on one CD. HA HA HA
-
CD = Monster Lair
HuCard = Blodia
No Military Madness or Neo Nectaris?
-
CD = Monster Lair
HuCard = Blodia
No Military Madness or Neo Nectaris?
hahahhahaha!
Would you believe that I played them too much? Even the Gameboy version...I played them too much :)
I remember the exact strategies that worked, and even though I try different tactics, it just isn't as "fresh"...
So why haven't I gotten sick of Blodia?
I DON'T KNOW. Seriously. I guess the shorter puzzles in Blodia don't weigh as heavy on my soul as the long stages in Nectaris/MM.
And Monster Lair is all about achieving PERFECTION. :)
-
Too many games to choose from.
Wonder Momo is one of them. Everything in WM embodies what I love about JRPG games. It has everything in that one game. You can play that game forever and never get bored.
-
Wonder Momo is one of them. Everything in WM embodies what I love about JRPG games.
You must hate JRPGs, as Wonder Momo sucks and most certainly isn't an JRPG.
-
To make you understand, I am not going to make you understand. I have been going backwards, with videogames. I am sick of 3d scat, while I do play them from time to time, I got rid of my PS3, 360, and Wii before the year was up on all three consoles. That is how it is, for me okay.
I told you my favorite game for the system, that is it.
-
I really love that comment you made Necromancer because even Super Mario Brothers is a JRPG, and if you could actually understand that, then you should understand my love for the PCE.
Go away....
-
I really love that comment you made Necromancer because even Super Mario Brothers is a JRPG, and if you could actually understand that, then you should understand my love for the PCE.
And even this forum is a JRPG! Let me guess: you're playing the roll of trolling douchebag?
-
Wow, having actually sold my entire Turbo/PCE collection at one point back in the 90s and fought hard to get it all back (and more) this hits too close to home! I'm tempted to have Dracula X on the list just cuz it's the most expensive game I own but if I'm honest:
Nectaris/Military Madness
Vasteel
Gate of Thunder. Won't say 4 in one as that's kind of a cheat :)
-
Bomberman '94
Spriggan
Drac X
-
BM'93 instead and it would be almost perfect.
-
Ha maybe it will be once I get time to play '93. :P
-
1943 Kai/SonSon II
Buster Bros.
Cotton
