Only 10 dollars!
He's a basilisk, and he f*cks up crickets, worms, and goldfish (lolol).
Yeah.
and by 10 dollars I mean, holy shit all the other stuff to house a reptile costs like a duo-r or two
-
pretty sweet, what's his/her name?
my gf's brother had a bearded dragon that died 2 weeks ago, no idea why though
-
nice one ark :)
how long will it live?
and, can it also f*ck up burglars?
-
They live 15 years or so, if I don't f*ck up.
It can't f*ck up burglars yet. I will train him for battle. I named him Mogodor the Mighty.
bartre: Usually if a reptile randomly dies, its because it wasn't living right. Did they have the right temperature/sunlight shit goin on?
-
That's awesome :D Just dont look into his eyes...
-
You're one of THOSE guys........
-
Awesome! I had a bearded dragon for *ages* and I hear ya. He was given to me for free, but all the extra stuff I bought for him over the years to keep him content mounted up to a small fortune. :) Still, I miss the hell out of him. He could eat crickets and superworms like nobody's business!
One day he crawled under our kitchen cabinets and I had to go out and get a dremel tool to cut away the toe kick backing to get him out. Apparently our old landlords never found out about that "minor" surgery to the kitchen, since it wasn't taken out of our security deposit.
*Note to landlords: If your tenant has a bearded dragon, check the toe-kick areas for dremel cuts when they move out.

weird. Wonder what happened. I know Bearded Dragons are pretty easy to take care of. I shouldve got one. They dont need humidity like this basilisk. I live in frigging Ohio. It is tricky bidnis.
Next is a chinese water dragon. I want them to party up and destroy things. lol Dragon Quest!
it's an interesting switch from my other pets, which are rats.
-
LOL! You had a pet Splinter! you should've bought 4 turtles and put little colored bandanna's on them. Congrats on the new pet! :D
-
you taking bets ark? I hear Basilisk has 2-9 odds
-
I still have the rats, lol. 2 of them. I used to have like, 24 of them. I was all lolWilliard about it.
This thing is a spaz. I need to give him a giant pool to run across.

Just a warning that CWDs are tough as pets, I had a couple of them years ago. In addition to the heat/humidity requirements, they tend to be skittish and stress very easily. That being said, keeping two different species reptiles in the same cage/tank is usually a no-no, but from what I remember CWDs, AWDs, and basilisks are all 'close enough' that you may be able to pull it off.
If I were to get another reptile, it'd probably be either a bearded or maybe a gecko due to their easier requirements.
-
Oh I want put them together, lol . Even though this f*cker was in with iguanas at the pet store.
Basilisks are skittish too. He runs around alot and goes O_______________________________O
-
I've got a single rat, arthur.
i know you're supposed to keep them with other rats, but he's rat aggressive, as in, he beats the shiz out of other rats.
he freakin loves people though.
-
yeah, not all rats need company. Some, like Arthur, f*ckin hate it.
I had one named Lily that hated company. She ended up getting goony in the ear and was lopsided permanently, so she resembled a rat ogre.
She was HUGE. Like 9 inches long and solid like a rock, and was always cocked to one side lol.
She had to be put in a tank all by herself because any rats that got near her would get their ass beat. Bad.
-
Goldfish? Sorry, is this shot underwater? :)
-
Awesome! He's a good looking one, too, by the picture.
-
yeah. His home is pimped out.
Once its summer again Im going to empty the tank and make it a bit more elaborate with some underwater pumpage, a raised platform, and all that
