Cause I doubt it's this f*cking cool

and that's only like, half the desk...!
-
I wanna work at a daycare too!!!
-
nice desk ark! I especially love the Splatterhouse mask and Bucky O' Haire action figure.
-
I don't have a desk. :(
I have the inside of a truck, and it's not decorated at all.
-
People liked Bucky O'Hare?
Your desk looks like the desk of most of the IT guys where I work. I envy those guys who get to wear jeans to work and have fun at their desk. If I did something like that, I'd get an email within 30 minutes from my manager asking me to go into his office... Enjoy your relaxed corporate culture, lots of us don't get that!

Here's my desk at work:

I actually move from my current desk to a new desk on the 11th. My new desk overlooks the Buffalo Bisons (AAA) baseball stadium. It's the first time I've ever had a window, and the view is actually really cool... Hopefully I will remember to take a picture post-move.
I guess my lack of stuff is made up by the decent view... though I still want toys.
-
Yeah I get to walk around looking like a hipster fag at work. Sometimes I dont even have any shoes on, lol.
Nat, you need Turbob seat covers and some Chip Chan Kick fuzzy mirror dangler things.
-

^^^This.
I don't have any children's toys on my desk.
Anyway, it looks more like a shelf than a desk. A desk requires actual working space.
-
Nice mousepad Rover. I rocked a piece of paper for a few weeks myself. They do tend to disintegrate though, don't they.

.
identity discs aren't children's toys.
Anyway, the desk is like a giant L, so to the right of the dinosaur exhibit, is my computer. To the right of that are books + yamato dioramas and Yoda.
As long as theres room for the keyboard, the rest of the desk is fair game. Programmers don't need paper. We have notepad.exe.
Everytime people are touring my workplace they stop and point at my desk and go WHOA. WHOA. IS THAT *insert thing*!? and I have to go "yes, it is!" and then "COOL THEY LET YOU DO THAT HERE?" and then I say "no, shh. Don't tell"
\o/

Yeah... but it's the cheapest mousepad ever. :D I put down a new one every 2 months or so.

If you go to college and work hard and graduate magna cum laude and then you put in 5 hard years at various financial institutions... you could live this dream.

Once people leave here they tend not to mention this is where they are from...
In actuality, I lived in NYC for a bit, and couldn't wait to get back home.
-
If you go to college and work hard and graduate magna cum laude
I got yelled at during graduation by professors because I strolled out of the auditorium yelling IVE GOT CUM ON MY DEGREE. DAMNIT.
Oh well. lol
-
Janitor's office at the local library. I get to poke with them computers too : >
Taken with a crappy phone-camera.

Yeah i have been in Arizona for about 5 years now. I miss buffalo from time to time, but i dont think i would want to move back there. I'll tell you one thing, the food in AZ is crap compared to buffalo. We do have a Teds hotdogs in AZ though, and the guy that owns it is from buffalo and imports everything from buffalo like salin (sp) hotdogs and loganberry juice
-
I wish my desk was a pool full of loganberry.
-
^that made me chuckle and smile. Loganberry is so good. Now I'm going to have to go to teds and pick some up this week
-
Nothing too exciting at my desk...

Not my office, but it pretty much resembles this.

Whoa. That's...where do I sign up?
I'd take that FN P90 in a heartbeat. Among other things.
Though I imagine that vertical screen is really just too big, the top part will be annoying to read.
-
Mother Gunner would win if that was really his. Amazing!

If only peeps knew how awesome multiple monitors are... I finally got some of my co-workers to set up two screens. I use three at home. Once you go multiple, you can never go back to a single screen.

This is true. I used to have multiple monitors and switched to one huge monitor and now I want my multi-monitor setup back. :)

Lol you've clearly never been to Buffalo. The subway is wonderful as it goes absolutely nowhere.
I miss Amhearst, I do not miss Buffalo itself.
-
Buffalo blows. Most of NY does, after having driven across the whole entire dump.
It felt alot like when you are playing Ultima 4 and you can't tell if you're still moving or not while sailing the boat cause every tile looks the same.

I have driven across most of the U.S., excluding the west coast, and it all pretty much looks the same. Occasionally you get to see a cool landmark, like the Nazi Indian outside of Buffalo, but normally it is all just the same stretch of road. Not that Buffalo is awesome by any means, but you described any interstate drive.
Also, the view out my window is facing the bad part of town. Lake Erie is behind me and downtown is on the other side of the building. I will need to get some other pictures that better represent the city!
-
I like driving through the Cleveland area. The highway isn't just boring ass trees.
The south is the worst. its hills/mountains/farms/rednecks/inbred mutants

No desk per se, more of a workbench.

I work in a 4-person helpdesk at a small state university. A secretary(or as we say, "access control") in the frontdesk and two others in small rooms. I choose the work bench becasue it's more space and does not get as hot and stuffy as the two 10x10 office rooms.

You guys don't have random monthly audits? We do so I always have to tidy up before in leave everyday.
-
nah I have some random shit on my desk. But whenever they ask me to clean up, I'm like half of this shit isn't mine, and the other 50% is crap you keep giving me :x
Honestly, I could shovel most of this stuff in a bin right now, apart from a couple notebooks, my rollover cable and the Perl book.
-
Clean Desk policy sucks. My last job I could and would keep my desk looking like shit, now at the end of every day I need to have nothing on the desk.
-
Thats retarded.
-
My boss doesn't really care what my desk looks like as long as I'm getting my shit done on time and it's just piles of paperwork, samples, books, etc. and not outright garbage.
-
My company have this Achiving Excellent bullshit and one of it's criteria is to have thing all labeled and in its places and that includes the offices.

so id be ok as long as my shits labeled?
so, Id just need little nametags for Bucky O Hare, and all the primal rage characters, etc.
Sweet!

I added a Mr. Met bobblehead to my desk, so now I have some fun stuff too.
-
Rover has the best desk so far, as he's the only one with a stack of PCE games.
