Post by: T2KFreeker on December 06, 2011, 12:44:59 PM
You know, with all the talk I see and the pics, I wants this confirmed that new Hu Card games are coming, possibly a game or two listed, and what said price might be for such an awesome thing! Discussion?

what confirmation do you need, lol.

Between that and the protocard contest, what else is there to confirm? :D  The games for the protocard are basically done.

See www.aetherbyte.com (http://www.aetherbyte.com/) for the latest updates in that regard.

New Hueys, eh? This is great news!  8)

It looks like your new HuCard games will have contacts at both ends.
I may have misunderstood what I was seeing in one of your youtube vids...
If you are making them dual-contact style,
are you doing that so that they'll work in both USA and Japanese systems,
without the need for modding or a converter?

Have you guys already decided on the kind packaging to use for your new HuCard Game releases,
or are you all waiting on me to release the HuCard Tray Inserts, for standard-size CD Jewel Cases?

Will I need to make any special allowances for your HuCard Games,
or will they wind up being the same overall dimensions (Length x Width x Height) as standard HuCard Games?
Also, do/will my [OGC-TG16-SLIP] HuCard Sleeves work properly, with your new HuCard Games?

That is a possibility.

Depending how long it takes, and how expensive the trays will cost, I would love to use your stuff.  The current little prototype batch is going to have made-by-hand stuff

No special allowances required! These are legit sizes.

I will assume your sleeves work properly.  I haven't ordered any yet (but intend to).

The prototypes won't have them.  We're going for the made-by-hand, early prototype feel, so I actually plan to plop them in little trading card game sleeves.

The whole package will have a strange charm to it.

I can see the real-deal official ones we release (after we get funds from selling the prototypes!) using your case inserts AND sleeves.  That would be the greatest setup really.

All the pieces parts made by community members.  :)

I might bug Sparky to make stickers too, so it's even more communitytastic.

I'm sure its been asked before, but any idea when the protos will be ready? Or are you going the Duke Nukem Forever route? "Release Date: When it's done!" :P

Oh. the holidays were hectic as usual, but it will definitely be in the near future.

Just, don't expect these to be the greatest games you've ever played.  It's more of a novelty/bragging rights/support PCE's future/make fun of it, kind of thing.

Naturally...

Any plans of releasing the roms for said games for emulator/flash cart use? Just curious.
