They borrowed cart design from the Amstrad GX4000 maybe? :D

Ah very nice, didnt see that system in years :)
-
Wow, that's really really cool!
-
Wow, very cool! I had no idea....
-
New one to me too. Awesome though.
-
Wow that's really cool looking actually.

Is it safe to say that all of the label art is ripped from the actual title screens? It creates a uniformity and consistency.
-
I love how they actually deformed it into something very different and very far from looking anything like a PCE or TG16, but kept the games name and rest mostly intact.
-
Looks like an Atari on steroids.
Their is no artwork because apparently westerners don't believe in Comic books and that sorta thing. They want images that wont make people jump up and down like angry cavemen. You know proper and Roman like
It is like a whole content filled with SFC shells with downgraded video.

What?
-
ignore it.

TODAY'S CHALLENGE:
So, who can figure out the last cart pictured in my previous post? I can't think of anything off-the-top-of-my-goddamned-brain...
It's beginning to annoy me, now! HELP!
-
Holy Canoli!
LMAO at this. Sounds like one of those stupid cartoon show catch-phrases. Makes me think of:
The Godfather - The Animated Series!
Thrill as Michael Corleone defeats (killing is too much for kids to handle) his enemies as he deals with the crazy hi-jinks going on within his crime family! Now playing on the Disney Channel!

Yeah, that's probably it. Somehow "cross" is easier to make out than the kana before it.
-
Crazy Czechs...
-
Cool post, never saw one of these before. I wonder how common this was and how many games were released... of if it actually saw the light of day?
-
its eprom based
odds are is all pirated

Exactly. Think "Super Mario Bros." the animated cartoon meets "The Godfather"...

CZECH THIS OUT!
I'm surprised Covell didn't use that as the title/heading for this thread. :)

Puns are for 4-year-olds. Next clone that comes, you'll want me to say "I'm Hungary for this system!!"
-
lol, I love puns, ...coz am a 4yo..Now I'm Hungary..hahaha!!
-
Czech girls look much nicer than this clone.
-
Lol, also czech out them rating they gave the games on the first picture.
Devil's crash 45%
Final Lap 40%
Final Match tennis 50%
OK, I dont know exactly what or how they have rated 'em. They also talk something about the Amiga and Arcade games..blabla..
-
Man it looks like a Super Famicom and a PC Engine had a love child. Cheatin' bastards!

I've heard that Czech critics do not inflate scores or pander to the Japanese developers they pirate from.
That said, Devil's Crash is such a finely polished game that holds up nicely today...
...and you can ding Final Lap Twin for the graphics and sound (czech one, czech two)... but the game itself plays and controls very nicely.
Even though I like Final Match Tennis game, it is the weakest of the three, yet it scored on par with Devil's Crash!
I'm beginning to wonder if they played these games!
Is there something we are missing?
-
Very interesting and thanks for sharing. I never knew a system like this existed. Since it's called a 'Super Engine II" was there an original 'Super Engine I'?
-
Man. This thing is a mind f*ck. Considering the political goings on there, its kind of an amazingly high-end system for 1993. The Russians were still playing Dendy garbage at that time. Its basically the Neo Geo of the former Easter Bloc.
-
Kind of cool! The controllers are like SNES controllers
-
And hey, NOT just the controllers
-
Never heard of this crazy stuff. Thanks for sharing, Chris. 8)

Either they were high on kolaches and they pulled the numbers out of their asses (like you said - they didn't play 'em) or the grading system means something else (percent complete on Czech translation?). What else could explain Parasol Stars earning a meager 15% while Bari Bari Densetsu nearly tops the range at 68%?

(http://junk.tg-16.com/images/cooks_transb.gif) Cook concurs with you. Perhaps "%" stands for Cost of pirated cart, expressed as a percentage of average monthly income?
That's what Cook thinks, anyway (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/cooks_transp.gif)
