If it is titled correctly, I expect it to go for at least two thousand dollars.
-
Nice.
-
Hey it even comes with Keith Courage! How about that...
-
Never seen one of those up either. Pretty cool, but not for $500+.
-
Dammit, I sooo wish I could afford it....
-
This, or a magical chase box.
HMMM!

Now this is something you don't see everyday. I'd prefer this over Magical chase.

I want it! it looks so freakin cool!

lol. You dont want that. Its basically just the innards from a USA TG-16, with a cool facelift. Too expensive for that alone. Plus, I think I seen somewhere that the boards had been cut in the rear?? Save your money for that region mod and cool games dude. :)
-
They do look a lot cooler than the original turbografx. personally i thought $500 was a little much for what may or may not be a clone, someoe mentioned it could reach $2000, but I wouldn't want to send that kind of money to anyone overseas with a 1 for feedback.

It's DEF not a clone...but yeah even $500 is a bit nuts (especially with the original power supply is toast it's not all original).
-
I mean speculation as to whether or not the Vistar was an officially released system. Was it ever confirmed? it could just be I'm not up to date.
-
Cool to see one of these on ebay. It doesn't appear to be complete... missing the special sunglasses and their godforsaken little bag.
I looked up the exchange rate in 1994, these things cost over $200 when they were new! I can't imagine they sold very well, especially since they play US hucards

Don't worry I could never afford that and even if I had $500 I'd blow it all on turbo goodness.
-
Damn, that's cool. Quite tempting for $500 but I have a feeling it will go for a lot more.
-
Damn that's a pretty sweet looking system. Even if I was interested the seller has only 1 feedback so I dunno. It will be interesting to see what it will sell for at the end of the auction though.
-
I noticed the guy is from Korea. I wonder if it's possible to find those systems over there? Even loose I'd love to have one as well as some of the Korean software releases for various consoles. It's pretty cheap to fly out there, maybe I'll take a trip out there in March...
-
Hey Ghost, had my Korean friend go over there and searched high and low for one with no luck. It may have been just that part of Korea. People at work keep flying out there though so I may keep asking someone to check.

OK thanks for the info! I figured they would be pretty rare over there, but if I ever go I will be sure to scour some game shops for goodies.
-
Now this is pretty cool and probably can justify spending the money...
where's my W-2 already?
-
It would be awesome if someone in the forum could snag it. I'd hate for some douche US eBayer to get it, "rate" it, and put in a stand under glass.
-
Well, someone's bid on it. Wonder if it's a forum member? Sure they would have posted here by now though.
-
Item went for $614.00
I am a little suspicious of a seller with only 1 feedback selling a high value item.
handdollmaking ( Feedback Score Of 1 )
-
Yes, definitely risky. One of these days I'm gonna take a trip over there and look for myself.

There must be an equivalent to a Yahoo Auctions Korea over there. I'd love to be able to bid on some of the Korean releases. There are a bunch of them on Yahoo Auction Japan right now, mostly Korean Megadrive and Master System games. I'll be bidding on them tonight but they tend to go for a lot, especially the original games which I am interested in the most.
-
My tax return rule is to waste my money on something, generally it is either video game or vacation related. Too bad this auction came a month too soon, or else I would've nabbed it. Hope to see some pictures or a review of the system on here soon!
-
That's just messed up. Sure it's a nice, rare item for the collection but, these prices are just outrageous.
Speaking of which, have you seen the most recent lunacy?
Over 4k for an unopened Turbo-CD unit.
Over 15 hundred for a new Duo.
130 for a sealed Sidearms.
60 or so for a new Keith Courage.
Just coo-coo!
-
60 for a Keith Courage is a deal compared to the recent eBay gouging Keith Courage. (Look through the thread) =)

Since I've literally never seen one of these for sale in my life I don't think the price was bad.
Now, these "rare" US games that are pretty much always on eBay and go for hundreds of dollars...that's some bullshit right there.

Agreed. Boxed LTs are just as much and boxed Shuttles, SuperGrafxes, and Duos are half way there, and those are almost always available.
