Like the title says. I need a six button pad for my Turbo system. Please PM me if you have one for sale. It does nott have to be boxed, just functional. I appreciate it.

Shipping from Japan will still be lower than finding one on ebay.
They also have one with a joystick for a little more:

Hey, that's not bad at all. Can anyone vouch for the store though?
-
Well, I recently ordered from them (it was my first time so I didn't make a particularly large order). No problems. I only ordered from one of the stores; it'll probably be more complicated if you want to order from several stores at once.
Anything there is *much* better than Ebay prices except for items that actually are expensive.
If you're searching for anything there you pretty much have to type it in in Japanese. The machine translate is useless. (Supermarket CD-ROMs anyone?) If you can't type in Japanese, search for your game in Google, find a site which has the name in Japanese characters (most Wikipedia articles have them) and paste it into the search box.
Once you order you have to wait for them to email you and send you a quote with shipping, you have to approve that before your order is complete. (At least this store does it that way.)

There are some great deals on there - how can you tell if the games have cases/spines?
*edit* I'm pretty sure they use a picture of the HuCard, not the boxart when it's loose.
Well I hope so, because I've just ordered a bunch of the top games on my want list!
Soldier Blade, Parodius Da, Detana Twinbee and Star Parodier!
All at least £10 less than I've ever seen them elsewhere.
-
Umm, if they don't have a box it says it in the description. Some of the machine translated ones say "there is no box theory" in the description (it was doing great until it tried to translate that last word). It'll often also just have a picture of the card but you can't rely on that.

Hmm, well Google translate isn't coming up with that... but it does mention something about a box. Don't know whether I can post Japanese:

Is the (箱説なし) the bit that says "no box"? Google says it means no description box.

Compare this one:
http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/surugaya-a-too/item/1086116-1/
to this one:
http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/surugaya-a-too/item/177795-1/
They're from the same store, but only one has the text about the box and that one is cheaper. So I think it really does mean no box.
-
thanks Arromdee - they cancelled it anyway for some reason, but I've had another go.
-
Yeah Tsuruga is a great online game shop. I order from them quite a bit as they often have great deals and don't charge for shipping for orders over $20 or so. The way the ordering process goes is you place the order, then they check their inventory and send you another email with an estimate. Sometimes they'll lower the price a bit if the box or manual is damaged/worn. Then you transfer the money to them and they ship out the order. Not sure how they deal with international orders or if they do them at all.
For the more expensive/rare games usually Yahoo auctions has better deals, but if you are ordering several common games Tsuruga is a great way to go.
-
Well the main site Rakuten says they ship internationally. Maybe that's the problem. Maybe they don't :-k
Bit of a shame if they don't...
-
I ordered from them once before and it wasn't cancelled.
SG: I assume you mean Surugaya, but my previous order (three weeks ago) was above $20 and they did charge shipping. Do they have sales during which there is no shipping? Or am I doing something wrong?
Edit: I see you say you don't know about international orders, so I assume you're in Japan. So never mind--it's probably just no shipping cost in Japan.

Samurai Ghost is in Japan at the moment, but lives in... Malaysia? Somewhere in Asia. So that's probably why. I'm in the UK, so I expect a charge.

No actually I live in Japan! I always forget that our location isn't posted like a lot of other forums.
But yeah, they usually have free domestic shipping but of course would probably charge for international shipping. But the money you save on games/accessories would probably more than make up for the cost though. Their prices for consoles/systems are a little high though. A great place to pick up software, extra controllers, etc.

Looking at the site i'm thinking may i sign up there nice selection on megadrive titles, but it's hard to tell what is complete or loose.

I'm looking at the Japanese site, but if these characters are there then it means its loose: (箱説なし)

Rights got my eye on a few sega-cd games there.

RGGHHH!!!
"We apologise that despite our best efforts we have been unable to obtain a copy of the item you have ordered and have deleted this product from sale on our site. Many of our products are very specialist and sometimes can be difficult to obtain as was the case here. Please be assured of Catapult's commitment to customer service and let us know if you would like to make a reselection on this order - the majority of our products are in stock and available."
Godammit, why are they listing stuff if they don't even have it?!
-
My guess is there is a lag between their database and the actual listings on the site. Games are listed on Suruga even if they have only one copy left, so if it gets sold it's gone and their website is immediately updated. A proxy site won't be updated as quickly. One way you could avoid this is double-checking on the actual site by copying the Japanese title of the game (usually found on the game's wikipedia page) and searching for it on Suruga to make sure it's available before ordering through the proxy site.

Ah! Thanks!
Ah, they're not there :(

rakuen has a link to see the original nontranslated page and you can find the Japanese name of the item on that.
Were they out of stock on everything you asked for? if so that's very unlucky.
I did just make an order myself but I don't think I sniped anything you were trying to order; my order had Rayxanber 2, the SF2 *with* the box, a pad, and some non-PCE things, including a copy of Dancing Stage: Dreams Come True that was so cheap I ordered it just to get the manual (which my copy has missing).
-
Nah, I would have had that SF II, but only if they'd had a couple of Parodius, Twinbee, Star Parodier or Soldier Blade. Not worth it with the shipping though.
