Could someone post a scan of the front half of the Exile 2 sleeve? (outside and inside).
Might as well do the whole thing, but all I need is the bottom half of the front side. (My copy has been missing the warranty card portion for as long as I can remember)
(So really I just need front bottom. Have some nice expensive thick glossy paper I'm going to try.)
-
I can scan mine when i get home (I'm on my ipod touch now).
-
no rush. I really appreciate that. Even if it's just the front cover (and front cover obverse), that's plenty.

thank you so much! I'll try these out. If I need them in higher rez, could you email them to me direct? I don't mind waiting.
-
Anyone have the Vasteel sleave?
-

(Vasteel Sleeve Back)
Scanned them at 300 DPI. They're about 1.2 MB each. Hope that's good!
Sorry if they're a bit nipped on the ends, best I could do with my scanner. As an alternative I could scan them in pieces, but then you'd have to photo shop them back together.
And dang it, the file hoster trimmed em down in size. PM me if you want / need the original large files.

nice, i dont have these either... if i had higher-res i could make these up for dirt cheap for the peeps here if the community is ok with that?... i bet i could mimic i decent golden tone for the foil.
Anyway thanks for sharing... huggles :)
EDIT: hell anyone can make these up and print them but i will offer up my services if ya want, thats all
-
I thought these things were called inserts. When you say sleeves, I think about the little sheaths that the cards go in.
If anyone wants, I scan some stuff once I get my scanner hooked up.
I also have some pdf manual scans from replacementdocs and vimm's lair and misc cover, card and box scans that I've picked up here and there.
-
I always refer to "inserts" as the paper inside the back of the jewel case. Since Vasteel and Exile 2 both have those kinds of "inserts," I wanted to differentiate by calling the outer paper stuff "sleeves." But yeah, I guess the lexicon is pretty interchangeable.

I'm PMing now Sparky to see if he needs me to scan my copies for replicas. I love the WD stuff so the more people enjoying them the better!
-
I think he's got what he needs, but def check with him just in case. Thanks!
-

WOW Sparky, that looks great! :D
-
Looks Badass, Sparkler! Would love to obtain one of each myself! Own Vasteel and definitely going to get Exile 2 if I can find it at a reasonable price.
-
WOW is right. Beautiful results. Kudos to Sparky and those that provided scans.
-
ya whoever wants... they will be $2 a piece and i think its like a $1 to ship them both to my US brotherns
just covering some printing costs.
EDIT: jayamine supplied the hi-res scans
-
Awesome job Sparky!!!
-
Wow! Now I want to find a loose copy of the game so I can get one of these sleeves. #-o
-
I lost track of my emails. Who sent me the complete Exile 2 scan? Many thanks to you too! (The Vasteel one was mine)
Oh wait, it was Hoobs and Shrapnoid. Kudos to you!
-
Wow, those look great! They even look foil embossed just like the original ones too. I think I might pick up one of each too since they'd probably look better than the 15 year old ones I've got right now!

ya man, for sure

these look awesome. I still need to get these games to help complete my WD collection
-
So...what does one actually do with these? IIRC they aren't actually capable of containing the game like a SGX or Disney DVD so...are you going to re-shrinkwrap your game inside of it or something? Or just...file it away somewhere? You can't fit it inside like an obi. I don't get it.

Uh, I dunno, I wrap it around the game and stick it on the shelf with the rest of my games. I guess it's probably on par with a box, which I think is stupid, but for whatever reason I like the sleeves.

Yeah it has no use at all, except for a very small bit of cool as i have never seen the sleeve... its like the paper work that is found in the glove compartment of your miata or any car, some of it is of no use but cool it is there. <<shrugs>>

The sleeves were Vic's attempt to introduce spine card to America. Or maybe he was unhappy with the absence of boxes. Or maybe he didn't want advertising on the back of the jewle case . They ended up more like dust jackets, but they were wrapped around the jewel cases in every shrinkwrapped copy of vasteel and exile 2
-
Oh know what they are. I used to own Exile 2 US. They make perfect sense at the point of retail.
-
Yeah just kind of fun to have from a completionist standpoint
-
@SignOfZeta, I use double-CD bags for a lot of my JP games with spinecards so I just did the same with my copy of Vasteel. Put the game with the sleeve around it in the bag and it holds the whole thing together nicely, when I want to play the game just unseal the bag and slide the game out. Works like a charm and ties the whole thing together nicely. :)

But it isn't complete, it's fake.
-
You like to pee on people's fun, don't you?
-
Where do you get those? Have any extras of the double CD for sale? I saw some on ebay I think but it has been a while.

Only if I think something is stupid.
Using a Seal King bag didn't occur to me though. I have a lot of stuff in those. That's about the only way to make use of one of these weird WD cardboard things though.

hahahaha.. you think everything about the US turbrografx is stupid.. i have no clue why you post in these parts... you should type one reply and copy and past it as your replies are not new.
hey dont get me wrong i think your a good guy but man you need to lighten up on the US system.
Not everyone is a max visa buying tg16 gaming f*ck head... hahha i bet i have spent less on my US stuff compared to your Japanese stuff :P
-
So are you doing the Seal King thing to? Where do you put yours?

no seal king for me man, i will put mine around the cases and slip it on the shelf, the stock is heavy and it will work kinda like a file folder, ok like i a bad file folder :P

I got my bags off of eBay a year ago maybe? I bought a lot of like 100 of them (since that was the smallest amount), but if you're interested in some shoot me a PM and we can figure something out. The only thing that's a bit weird about them is the case goes in through the top, not the side, so the seam is visible on the edge where the text is.
Here's a pic of my Vasteel with the Working Designs sleeve in the baggie. It's a bit tight with everything, but not too bad.
