				I found this: http://www.zavvi.com/30000157.html
Which maybe perfect for displaying Boxed, or even loose games...

But I can't figure out the size of the individual pockets.  The problem is the way they're laid out...
The average is 13.75cm by 23.16... hang on, I think it's:
 5R    2L    5" × 7"    127 × 178 mm    1500 × 2100 px    7:5 (1.4)    Twice the size of a 3R print. Called "13 × 18 cm" worldwide.

Roughly anyway... So a case is the same size as a CD case, maybe thicker... Ah, Jewel Case:
5.59 in x 4.92 in x 0.39 in according to Wikipedia.  Crap, they'll only fit the middle ones the right way up.  I suppose I could store SNES games in the sides.  I suppose it depends on how much give they have too.

Doh, when it says 6 x 4 - that's the size of each pocket in inches.  Well, too small for a case then.

				Bummer.  That's an awesome idea.

-
				BUY IT AND SEE ANYASYSUEOIGJ

I like the idea of that though, good space saver

Even better though, if you feel like playing a game, but you don't know what, one look and BAM, all your favorites are ready to be selected.

I can't stand the fact that the shelves I'm soon to put up will present the spines and all that great artwork will be lost.

I guess what I could do is keep all the cases seperate and just display instructions and hueys, maybe put a "holding card" in the case (to remind me what matches up).  Could be worth a shot.  Anyone got a manual spare they can measure?  If it's > 4" wide, I might go for it.

Plus it will spur me to get manuals for After Burner II  and Super Star Soldier.

*edit* nah, CD inserts are 5x5", so assuming PCE manuals match up, they're too tall for the horizontal ones, and too wide for the verts.

*edit* This one would be ok, but it's more of a pain IMO.  and needs nails http://inaspotsolutions.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html

It drives me insane to see the artwork of the games itself. Because I am an artist, I can identify and link between time periods.

It is the same feeling with record labels, and CDs. After going threw years of design school ( graphic ), I appreciate the typeface, and design methods of boxes/cases far more then the images itself.

I did that before, when I first started to collect. I literaly built my own shelf, out of card board and tape. Was a trail and error thing. I had them displayed right in front of me drawing desk.

Bing!  I found something AT LAST and bought it.  It's only 30, but it should be perfect:

Now to aquire some missing boxes/instructions!

*edit* and probably get something like these to hang it on: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/8755333.htm?CMPID=GS001&_%24ja%3Dkw%3A{keyword}|cgn%3Apla||8755333|tsid%3A11677|cn%3Apla||8755333|mt%3A{MatchType}|crid%3A14542145259

I enjoyed displaying cover art on the cork board in my living room. A simple pushpin kept the box/manual in place. My friends teased me for piercing and damaging the artwork, so now I use magnets + magnetic board.

OK, I made all that stuff up. I don't have a cork board in my living room.

I do display artwork that is framed and matted. I switch the artwork every month or two to keep things fresh. I also have a lot of marquees from 80's arcade cabs that I want to display, but they vary in size and thickness and I have yet to find a good solution. I think I want to make a light box for the marquees, but I have to design it with flexibility in mind (to accommodate varying sizes).
