What is it with people who stare? Especially out in public. I mean you can be minding your own business, have your hair combed well, dressed in casual manner and still there will be at least one person who stares at you like they're hypnotized or in some kind of dream state or just angry or with a blank expression.
What is it with people like that?

well, i work at a gas station, so maybe my view's a little skewed - BUT -
there are lots of weirdos out there, people without any form of social skills, hell, chances are they're not even looking at you in particular.
or alternatively, you could just radiate teh sexy and people are either in awe or are jealous.

I could care less, when people stare it just means they're ignorant and need to get out more.

Seriously who cares. I stare at people. It is my job to look at people. I am strapped down to a chair making imagery all day. However who cares if somebody stares at me. If somebody looks at you, be glad because your alive
The are the two reasons, I know of.
1. The person is going into alpha mode, and does it to preserve, their sanity. Because people want to feel safe, and happy. So by looking at people they feel that their freedoms are preserved. It is like when you hear people laughing insanely, or joyfully. They do that, then rather pull out a knife and start stabbing random people of all age, or pull out a gun.
2. The person just decided to turn in that direction. Like I am tired why the hell should I care about what you think.
A person who is annoyed by this is obviously an offensive person, who enjoys being arrested, or thinks they are higher above the law. If somebody stares at you, you should just realize that they have the right to look at whoever and whatever they want.
If I got annoyed by everybody who looks at me, I would probably be in prison. At least I do not laugh at people. Somebody in my area was arrested for laughing at somebody while on public transportation.
You also have to understand that as we go threw life, we have been threw alot. Tired, broken, damaged, and parts of me are all over the place. Our believes are mocked, and pissed on, and our joys are thrown into the ashes. So what if the person stares, the sad, depressing idea, is that everybody is going to die, and be dug up and put into a popers grave. Nobody is going to be preserved as cyborgs, or revived as an A.I. Our things we be burnt, along with all of our writings, and creativity.
The way society is all the healthy real people are locked up in learning facilities, forced to do something not knowing if their is a rainbow at the end of the tunnel. Hell the entire place is one big desert during noon.
The only people outside are homeless, jobless, people playing hookie.
Then we get dragged into a dispute, and if we have kids, what will they grow up in?
Who cares if I stare. My world is dimminsing like He-mans mother, trapped in the castle of the child like princess, while the emptyness is winning.
What are we that brainwashed by the hooked neck followers of society.
I guess so, because another idea of looking at people, that most people believe the following.
1. That person wants to hump me.
2. That person is a homosexual/Lesbian
3. That person wants to kill me
4. That person want to take my family member and probe their body.
So what if people looks at you, just ignore them. You have your life to live, you can let brainwashing ideas get the best of you. I mean oh great it is no school yard, but seriously why should we give into the anti-life.
The next step to being annoyed is trying to kill them. That is how some people are, they are too stupid, and no matter what you say or do, they will stay like that. It is like a paradox, in a paradox. I want, I want, I want. A bunch of heads eating each other.

I don't mind just being looked at. No, no, no. I'm talking about straight up, g@@gly-eyed STARES, like the way that-eh-uh... Like the Daleks from Dr. Who might look at you if they had eyes. That kind of stare.

In all seriousness, like has been said in this thread, there are probably 3 types of people who stare at you:
1) Those that are zoning out. Ignore them, they mean no harm.
2) Those that want to bang. If you are interested, initiate contact.
3) Those that want to fight you. A staring contest isn't worth getting in a fight over. Let them know you see them, but don't glare back. Keep a discrete eye on them and be prepared for a confrontation.

I feel the same. Last Sunday I went for a Sunday roast with my ex, and the girl behind her was looking at me like I was famous. Then the waitress did the same thing. I had to check there was nothing on my face :/

When you catch someone staring at you, give them something to look at. Just stand up, if you are sitting down. Then turn around as if you are going to walk away. Then, pull your pants down and show em your ass.
