Title: Asteroid Challenge!
Post by: nodtveidt on March 08, 2012, 08:56:12 AM
Figured I'd pull this out of the closet, dust it off, and make a lil demo out of it. It's basically the Metro Blaster early prototype engine retrofitted into a "complete" game... well, Atari 2600-level complete anyway. The premise is simple: survive for as long as possible.

D-pad to move, II to fire, Run to pause.

The ship, shot, explosion, and asteroids come from freely available sprite sheets on opengameart.org. The stars were done by Fragmare for the Xymati project (used with permission). The fonts... I have no idea where they came from, but they're two of the many in my bitmap font collection.
