Since I can't find if there's a specific forum for this category, here is what I got off of Craigslist in the last week:
Got this off of Craigslist for $70 (originally listed at $150), but it was actually free, because I've been selling other stuff that I made profit on.
Turbo Grafx 16 with the following 17 games:
Just in jewel case:
Keith Courage: In Alpha Zones
Victory Run
Final Lap Twin
Blazing Lazers
Legendary Axe II
Super Star Soldier
Double Dungeons
Vigilante
Sidearms
Tricky Kick
Turrican
Complete in Box:
Sonic Spike
Alien Crush
Cyber Core
Drop Off
BoxyBoy
Galaga '90
Good deal?

You sold stuff? For shame! But seriously, that's an excellent haul. Super Star Soldier is my favorite TG-16 shooter, and there's some damn good ones!
-
assuming you are going to play this stuff instead of reselling for profit, then yeah, good deal
-
Yeah, I usually keep stuff that I buy, game-wise. What I meant when I said I sold other stuff, was that I got these Avengers hotel cards and sold them on Ebay, so whatever profit I got from them, went into this lot.
-
At todays prices, $70 wouldn't be half bad for the system with Keith Courage alone. You did very well!
-
You need to get China Warrior now.
ditch Turrican.
that games a piece of shit.
-
Yeah, the controller the seller gave me was the wrong one (she gave me a wireless controller for a Memorex/Tandy VIS), so I had to go buy a TG16 controller. Just got it today so I can finally play the games lol instead of looking at the title screen / demo gameplay.
I few days ago I did the AV/composite mod with the pins on the back. Looks pretty good! The controller cord is hella short though :)

That's because playing Turbo is more intimate then other systems and you need to be cuddle distance to your system at all times.
-
That's definitely a great score. Hell, the original asking price wouldn't have been bad.

Good job! Not a bad price at all, considering all the games come with jewel cases at the very least. :)
-
Well at the very least, the ones they came with jewel cases also had the manual (so they were only missing the outer box). But the ones that had the boxes were all "complete". Sorry if the original post was worded wrong.
-
Still a great score, Your proof that looking around taking your time can be worth it.
-
Yes, very nice buy!! Got some good titles in there as well.
Blazing Lazers, Legendary Axe II, Super Star Soldier, Sidearms, Alien Crush, and Galaga '90 are some awesome games! Enjoy 'em!
There is a thread for this kind of thing though:

It's a fun thread to check out and see what people have been getting these days. Enjoy!

Actually, I wasn't really looking into getting a TG16 before I got this lot.
I was randomly looking at my area Craigslist, and saw this, and was like, "Well, I did sell a bunch of stuff, etc etc., maybe I can get it for a lower price" I originally asked $60, but then she said she was selling it for her nephew and wanted $70, so I was like, "Alright, seems like a good deal yet". Picked it up a few hours later---night time so it was a little freaky, we met at a gas station. The transaction was done within 30 seconds lol.

Ahhh kinda had the drug dealing feeling to it lol.

Yeah, sort of lol. I walked to her car, paid the cash, believe it or not, didn't look in the bag. Just glanced, and everything seemed to be there, and by the time I walked back to my car 20 feet away, she was already gone!
It's a habit of mine, not looking before paying, but I think of it as a surprise and I haven't been burned once! For example, at goodwill, I bought this zippered case of Nintendo DS (cart only) games, and briefly opened it up to see how many there were, but didn't look at the titles until I got off of work. I like the mystery of finding out what they were
-
was she hot? you should have followed her.

Lol maybe if you flirted some you could've gotten the TG16 in trade lol.

I've done a couple parking lot craigslist purchases before. I like it when you go to peoples houses then you can see if they have more game stuff for sale. Most people selling on CL need cash and everything is for sale.
