Title: Looking for the following games...
Post by: tpivette on April 30, 2012, 01:59:59 AM
Been searching for the following titles, but don't want to pay the ebay prices:

- GOT/Bonk 1 & 2 (Turbo Duo 3in1 pack in)
- Lords of Thunder
- Ys Book 1 & 2
- Neutopia (this is the only game I need to complete the collection I had as a kid)
- Neutopia 2

Looking for good - mint condition games only. Prefer complete (game/case/manual) examples, but willing to work with game or game + manual only. Thanks!

Nah, no outer box needed. I'm not a collector, wouldn't know what to do with the boxes

They make good use to start a fire for a fireplace.

I'm the same way. I don't have a fireplace, so I'd have no clue what to do with them. Raffle I guess?

Damn... $40 shipped for Neutopia... more than $50+ for the Turbo Duo 3in1 disc, come on... I know we can do more to drive these prices down.

Enthusiast to enthusiast... with our close knit community we've got to be able to do something about the cost of these basic games!

Edit: I guess I've been reading the ebay gouging thread too much lately... just cant see people paying hundreds of  $$ for these games

Neutopia $40? I paid 28 shipped for a complete copy ( besides the outer box ). So it is possible on eBay

Would love to find a complete copy for less than $30... but right now on ebay $40 shipped is as low as it gets (there are some that are more expensive!). Even a google shopping search didn't net it any cheaper. Sigh...

Disregard the "Buy it now" listings stick to auctions only. Make a mental note of what you are willing to pay for it and snipe your offer at the last few seconds.

If it ends up going for above that then rinse and repeat.

Of course, if a long time goes by and all of the auctions go for more then your asking price is unrealistic.

Well, those are some of the best games for the system that you are looking for so they will probably always fetch a higher price. Finding them cheap will require luck and patience. The current ebay market has gotten a little nuts with this stuff, but occasionally you will come across some good deals.
