Of course you might not recognize the games in this movie.

I might.

I loved that Bonk had a cameo in the film! It was great to see him "bonking" Zangief (yeah, that sounds bad).

For some reason, I really loved when Excitebike dude went off the ramp, through the stratosphere, and into space to intercept Zangief.

That was pretty cool.  The Sega Fantasy ones are really good as well.  There's a lot of Japanese to read, but worth watching.

The ongoing theme seems to be current gen + last gen machines rising up against Sony and the next gen machines.  There's also some interesting and  imo wittycommentary about the video game industry in the form of character dialog.

Anyway, check it out especially if you're a final fantasy fan (before PS1 vers).

Kool.

Highlights:

PC Engine and MegaDrive becoming their "ultimate" forms...

PlayStation 1 seeing SNES and calling him "father?"

GBA seeing his grandpa, GB, and helping him along with a link-up cable.

GameGear sick and dying, and being given lots of fresh alkaline batteries :)

etc. etc.
