My friend has a working US CD-ROM2 unit and connector to the TG16 unit but no US system card or converter. I have a few spare white PCE Engines and IFUs, so I was going to give him one of each so he could use his CD ROM2 without spending any more money. I've heard this would work fine without any mods, but is this correct? He can just use a JP Super System 3.0 card to play Super CDs, right?

Yeah, if you're giving him everything but the little CD-ROM, the Turbo version works fine.

Great, thanks! Thought so but had nevr tried it myself as I don't have the awesome black CD ROM2.

I wonder how a black TG16 CD rom and a black painted Coregrafx would look in an IFU...

That might be kind of cool, but you might as well paint a yellowed white PCE rather than screw with the beauty that is the CoreGrafx. The black/white combo looks pretty cool as is though and not a lot of people do it.

Yeah, a us tgcd unit will work with the pce interface and vise versa.
