I would "die" without cheese, but I don't care for milk all that much.
My wife won't eat red meat, just cause. But she makes a MEAN roast. The kiddos and I tear it up!
Speaking off, this is another good one that lasts for a few days.

My ex was ill yesterday and spent the whole day in bed. She wanted me to bring some fast food home... but I bought all the fixings for nachos :D
It was so good; cheapest nachos in the store, multi-pack dip of guacamole, sour cream, salsa and nacho cheese, mozzerella, and we already had a big block of cheddar. Grated about 200g of cheddar on the nachos, the whole ball of mozzerella, and then serve it up with all the dips spread all over.
It was so good I was giggling to myself as I devoured them.

you live with your ex?

you live with your ex?
Yeah, we're still best buddies, but she wants to move out soon, and I'll really miss her. I'm still cut up about the break-up and it's been 8 months already.

I went out and spent a heap of money on food shopping, and the meals I can now make include:
Nachos w/dips
spaggetti carbonara
tuna pasta
broccoli cheese pasta
mushroom risotto
steak
fresh mackerel with horseradish cream, cucumber and onion on rye
scrambled eggs (may need more eggs)
2 fresh pizzas
And then a variety of snacks like yoghurts, chicken satays, cereal and toast.
I was eating a lot of fish and pasta the past week, so it's going to be nice to change things up. Wonder how prices compare?

...you eat scientists? Well ok, I guess if they're new... old ones are probably chewy.

TOR TI LLAS!
Not bad on the prices overall. How long do you figure that would last you?
Rove...WTF? lol
-
It's hard to say - the canned stuff like the fish or dried pasta might not get eaten for a while, but I like to keep stocked up. As for the fresh stuff, it's gonna last me over a week easy.
Rover, New Scientist is a magazine - about science! http://www.newscientist.com/ Some really exciting stuff going on these days!

I'd say you are doing very well. On average, my family of four (me, the mrs., and my 3 and 1 year old son/daughter) purchase $200 worth of food a week. It's one of our biggest bills. It doesn't help that my 1 year old daughter is able to eat an entire hamburger. My kids are eaters that's for sure! :)
