By the way, last time I checked you could still buy the Okidata ribbons at Officemax, although it wouldn't surprise me if they got moved to special order sometime. I think TI was a special order ribbon but they could still get them. (I used to work there.)

I can confirm that seeing how we just bought some ribbons not too long ago for our continuous feed printer...

For you, $50 all together including shipping. If you need a parallel cable, I can get you that as well free of charge (got literally TONS of em). Let me know, this is the first time we have posted this online and my boss wants to get rid of these rather quickly.

Sorry i'm late getting back to you. I"m gonna have to take a rain check until next month. if they are still around i will jump on it then. minor health issues with my youngest has postponed anything i can do till then.
-
lol, who wants those even for free?
-
damn I used to fix these when I was younger lol I hoped I would never see one again!!
-
man i have to use one every freaking morning. We just got 2 new epson dot matrix printers and they started jamming up within a week.
-
Tatsujin, many people want them just because they can, and the offer he made is very reasonable, especially when you consider how much they weigh. I plan to use one for dos drawing programs for my kids. hopefully all will work out and next month i can take him up on it.

They last forever as in the forever printer. When is the last time you have seen a laserjet or inkjet printer last more than 10 years? Doesn't happen very often and the parts, ribbons and paper for these things are cheap. Only reason why we have em in the "bone yard" is due to the CEO wanting us to go all high tech and unfortunately high tech printers are very costly and have a tendency to break down especially out here in the sticks.

Lowered some prices.

Bumped, Herc are you still interested? My boss wants this out of the computer graveyard ASAP. Might even be tempted to get a raffle going...

There are companies which still use them for things like reports. Some legacy systems only work with this kind of printer. At work we only have one for the burglar system. The system is so old it will only send reports to a DMP.

Back in the early 90's, I worked in a pharmacy and all the labels were printed on an OKIDATA. They eventually upgraded to a laser printer.
