hey guys, just curious as to what the value would be on a TG16 kiosk. This is the ones that they had in Radio Shack, etc.
All the TG16 stuff on the side, NEC engraved plexi glass front?
It has the system also?
Thanks

What the hell? This thing existed ?

In my experience these things aren't worth much at all. My experience is seeing people buy the equivalent setups for NES, SNES, Genesis, etc. I've never seen anyone purchase or pursue a TG16 one. Only a very small number of people care about these things. And honestly I think most people consider them gaudy and unattractive.

saw your post on NA. How much are you going to end up pay for it?
-
It depends on who's buying: normal, 'real' gamer guys looking for something unique would pay maybe a couple hundred for it, a crazy frenchy that'll sell it a year later would likely play $10,000+.

Sparky don't ever sell that piece! It's awesome! I may have to bug you later down the road for some measurements. Maybe I'll try to re-create one out of MDF. What size television fits in that kiosk?

i was looking at it on craigslist, another guy on Nintendoage got it for $200, i was offering the guy $300 for it but couldn't get it until Saturday but he took $200 b/c the other guy would pick up today.
My wife probably is happy as i don't have room in the game room for it anyways

Most things TG-16 are gaudy and unattacrive. It doesn't stop people from paying $100 for empty cardboard boxes. They like the Halloween look, evidently. The only US stuff to actually look nice was the Turbo Duo, and that's only because at that point they didn't have enough money left over to design a case that was twice as big as it had to be and install region locked controller ports.
As for the kiosk, it's not my thing. If it were my thing though I'd pay several hundred for it. I mean, it's kind of weird to have something with a shitty old TV in it that you can only play standing up, but it's like...a major thing. That was the machine that turned tens, perhaps even dozens of people on to the idea that there was more to video games than the flickery shit on the NES. If Magical Chase is worth $2000 then this should be worth at least half that.

That looks like a pretty sweet setup for $200. I can't tell what's going on in the middle of the picture though. Is there a system in there?
