Title: Need help with creating an avatar
Post by: turbokon on June 11, 2012, 04:56:36 AM
I've been a member since 2008 and still have yet to add an avatar. I've been wanting to create one but I just don't know how to get started. I see some really cool animated avatars here and really want to create something like those. My interests are, of course turbografx and karate. I want something that will mesh the two together. Any idea and help would be greatly appreciate it:)

I kind of dislike animated avatars, they're almost as distracting as ads IMO.  If you just want something karate based, you can just google image search "karate avatar" but animating one yourself might take a while.

I might have to go this route since it's easiest.

If you have a scanner it's fun to find and make your own images especially from game manuals. Pic your favorite game and go! Making an animate gif isn't that hard you just go to a webpage that makes animated gifs and add the clip or images you want to have animated, set the size and frame rate and your done!

I use Microsoft's free GIF Animator tool to make my animated GIFs.  It's another option for ya, though it sounds like the websites P.C.'s talking about might offer more options.
