Title: Soldier Blade US: Sniped at the last second by ~$4.76 from $83 bucks
Post by: NightWolve on June 26, 2012, 02:35:30 PM
I caught this auction with 10 minutes left and posted a title "Soldier Blade US: You got 10 minutes to snipe it." then subsequently updated it as the countdown commenced.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Soldier-Blade-TurboGrafx-16-/180910612241 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Soldier-Blade-TurboGrafx-16-/180910612241?_trksid=p4340.m1374&_trkparms=algo%3DUPI.GIROS%26its%3DI%252BC%26itu%3DUCI%252BUCC%26otn%3D5%26pmod%3D330752150522%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D196235605906008536#ht_500wt_1202)

It's at $83 bucks at present! 1 minute to go... :(

So at the last second, it went from $83 to $87.76. Congrats to the sniper! =)

I guess that's a decent price? It lacks the box though. I'd rather pay the $30 for a CIB PCE version which plays just the same and looks great.

Eh, cause of this? I was under the impression that some people here wanted this game (the US copy) and it's gotten harder to come by (plus it's been gouged for $200+ in the past), that is all - I just happened to catch the auction while looking at something else. The other thread I made was not useful because it was for the Japanese copies and I didn't realize it. So that's 2 threads on my part (first one was unneeded which I had deleted, so 1 really) and just cause of that, you see a sign of a trend that this is becoming an eBay fan board ? Most of us, myself included, post in the eBay gouging thread about shitty behavior, don't we ??

Yeah there's some good deals on eBay if you look around. I buy SMS and Genesis stuff off of eBay on nearly a daily basis.

Can't say either of these are a particularly good deal though. Thought this game went for about $50 a year ago. Just some random idiots overpaying for complete copies has gotten everyone thinking this is some uber-rare game.

I say it again, for $80 you can buy a PC Engine CoreGrafx AND a complete copy of Soldier Blade for PCE. Then you can enjoy some of the other games that have been hiked way up in recent years at a fraction of a cost.

Or you can get them on Virtual Console for a few bucks, or just download them for free. Most people who want the US version now would have no interest in the Japanese version.
