EDIT: This item is now sold.
---------------------
This is Bantam's Official TurboGrafx-16 Game Encyclopedia by Corey Sandler and Tom Badgett.
$12 + shipping.
The Bad: poor condition. Heavy cover wear and creases, lower part of spine missing, back cover detached but present, and a stain on the corner of two interior pages. No loose pages.
The Good: a nice reference for gamers without manuals, as the authors are more interested in rehashing the plot, controller functions, and power-up items from each games' instructions than providing any poignant strategies. There's an amusing chapter of hype and technical specs comparing the TG to the NES, as well as a few peaks at unreleased games like Discus Book and an alternate version of Camp California. The ancient TurboTap coupon, Radiance membership, and the offer for the Acemore Bonk Head are also here. Overall, the Encyclopedia covers many more games than the Prima books, but not nearly as well... but hey, it's RARE!

Sellers try to gouge on this book, but there are enough of them out there that one will turn up for a reasonable ebay BIN or Amazon price once every couple of months. Don't pay more than $30.

It pisses me off, because I bought it at Barnes and Noble when I was twelve and $10 was a serious investment for me. I kept it in pristine condition until I was stupid and sold my original TG16 in '95. Since I didn't need the book anymore, I gave it to the only other kid in town with a TurboGrafx. Fast forward two years, I buy a Duo, and talk the kid into giving me my book back - it was ruined.
