Hi,
I'm a video game collector who stumbled upon the Turbografx 16 a few months ago. I had previously collected the NES, SNES, Sega, you name it! But when I played Turbografx for the first time I became addicted! With a few sessions of playing the Turbografx I believe it is the greatest retro system of all-time!
However it is very difficult to come across any TG stuff in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Which has led me to pcenginefx.com, in an attempt to trade, buy, whatever turbografx 16. I'm looking forward to dealing with many of you!
Thanks

Welcome to the site man. Yeah, a lot of us share your addiction. What games for the system do you have already, and do you plan on getting into the CD/Super CD games?
-

Welcome aboard my brother!! Always good to hear stories like this. We got a turbografx-16 for Christmas and I have been a fan every since.

Welcome TG16 Rocks.. There are so many games for the system and yes it is diffulct to find Turbo stuff anywhere.

Welcome!
My registration finally got approved, so today is my first day for posting here, although I've been lurking for a few months.
But yeah, I have to agree with you that finding TurboGrafx stuff in the wild is getting harder and harder. I went to The Video Game Summit in the Chicago-area yesterday, and only two sellers at the convention had any TurboGrafx stuff. One only had a system with 2 common games which he was selling as a lot, and the other one had about 40 HuCard games and about 5 CD games, and several guys (myself included) were all over those games.
Side note: The games that he brought were just his doubles - he has a complete U.S. HuCard set minus Magical Chase, and the convention was 'showing' the TurboGrafx, and their 'show' guy had a complete HuCard set minus Tonma and 9 others, but he had a U.S.-released Magical Chase which he was letting people play with!

I'm new too! Excited that others have actually hear about this system... I grew up with a TurboDuo given to me by my neighbour who didn't want it because there were no games for it! I live in Canada, so it's even harder to find them... My TurboDuo and games have seen better days though - only now am I trying to repair and recollect games beyond repair. On that note, does anyone know if people on these forums repair TurboDuo systems? The hinge on mine is broken on the top right of the disc tray lid and I'd kill to have it back to amazing shape! :)

Yes, we are blessed with several competent, gracious folks who modify/repair hardware.
I'll let necro or bernie or ________ provide the link(s). (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcgs.png)

I'd start a thread asking for help. There's quite a few repair dudes 'round here that could do the work (chop5, blueBMW, thesteve, turbokon, keith, and likely others that I'm forgetting), but the hard part will be finding the replacement parts; start a thread and hopefully one of 'em will chime in and say they have a carcass from which they can scavenge a hinge.
