Hello, looking to buy a working pc engine lt, boxed or unboxed, system only

Good luck, I'm looking for one too:)
-
Me three.

Realistically what are they worth ?
This does not seem right:

loose? probably 350-500
complete boxed (ac adaptor,manual) 700-800
-
I loathe that eBay seller, 'skinnyman1982'.
You know what he does? He buys most of his stock from GameDoctor and then puts a massive markup on it. That LT's he has for sale came from GD and was 50% cheaper than what he's selling it for. Douche.
-
Ope, you are extremely lucky if you find a complete one for $800. But then again, you've proven your luck before.....
-
I have seen them disappear on YJA for about ¥50000 in a box
im not including shipping or deputy fees (where applicable)

In GBP
£300-£350 - loose with broken ariel or dead pixels.
£350-£400 - loose depending on condition.
£550-£600 - boxed complete.
£750-£800 - 100% uber mint, exactly like new.
-
I think hardcoreotaku's estimate is closer to what I've seen here as well, after all shipping, fees, etc. are taken..... unless you have a good contact that will search for deals for you.
You might still want to have the unit serviced if that hasn't been done. Beamer is working on mine. :)

Strangely, its the radial caps that like to fail and leak on the LTs, not the SMT ones lol

Even on Yahoo Auctions Japan I've seen minty LTs, boxed of course, go for $1000+
Loose ones tend to go for $300-$350. Broken/untested ones can go for a bit less, but still usually fetch at least $250.

I'll be interested for a loose one for that price. Can anybody help me out? Not sure how I can bid on a Japanese yahoo auction.

You could get a proxy bidder but you would pay a lot of fees.

I did a post about proxy bidding in the PC Engine discussion forum. It is expensive.
-
It is one question to ask how much they go for. It is another to ask how much it would cost to get out of Japan.

Right. Even if something looks like it's massively discounted, it usually ends in being the same, or more, than it would cost you on eBay etc. The general rule is, use proxies for things you literally cannot get outside of japan.

I saw two of them on Gamedoctor also, the prices were pretty good.
