I want to know what games use more than buttons I & II to play the game. Games that use the 3 & 6 button controller.
-
Forgotten Worlds (3 button)
Street Fighter II (6 button)
Those are pretty obvious ones.
-
That's the Only 2 Games??
-
Actually quite a few use the select button to do things like ship speed in certain shooters, and inventory screens in others. So in that regard, the Ave3 pad comes in really handy, as the "third" button can be set to act as either Select or Run.
As for 6B support, I know Martial Champions and Strip Fighter 2 both support it, (although MC is only 3 buttons).
A full list of 3 & 6B supported game would be nice...

Valis III uses a combination of buttons, including run button to switch characters.

Barunba uses select to move your option which is really annoying. Ave 3 pad makes it playable being able to move select to button 3. In fact Ave 3 pads are the best PCE pad ever because of that feature.
I just played through Ys III and it makes it asy better with the Ave 3 cause you can put the menu on button 3 and switch rings super quick in boss fights.

Thanks for the info.

Comrade, here is an incomplete project: http://www.pcenginefx.com/forums/index.php?topic=9188.msg158373#msg158373
Here is a website version (I'm not sure if it is as up-to-date" as the thread above):
Three-Button-Friendly Games (TBFG FAQ) (http://www.tg-16.com/three-button-friendly-games.htm)
I would certainly love to add more entries!
