Title: New Berserk Movie
Post by: BigusSchmuck on July 22, 2012, 12:02:42 PM
Have you guys seen these yet? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Berserk_films I watched the first one last night, thought it was pretty cool, but its basically a recap of the first 12 episodes or so compiled into 1 movie. The second one already came out in Japan in theaters and the third movie is stated to be released later this year. I just hope this doesn't turn out like the Hellsing OVAs, man those take forever to release.

Okay so officially is this movie just the first few episodes? or is this movie continues after the last series of events? You know Guts grows up and leaves us with a trail of memories.
The reason why nobody wants a Beserk, film because they might draw it differently, and the widescreen.
It is like Dragon Ball, they kept to the art style of the comic, without destroying any of the characters appearances. This is part of the reason why the original TV Beserk was great.
Is it anything like the new Area 88?

It keeps true to the anime spirit and isn't bogged down by special effects. I will say its pretty good and it covers the first 12 eps or so. There are some new scenes as well mostly just gruesome decapitations and horse mutilations. ;)
