Title: legend of xanadu chapter 3, canalisation beach?

hello,

iam playing legend of xanadu 2 right now but iam suck in chapter 3 in the canalisation at the beach. the walkthrough says i should take the ladder to the second floor in the west side but where the heck is it? there are two ladders but no one leads to a passage were is a ladder to the third floor directly above?

Even though I recently polished this one off, I'm afraid I can't be of much help.  I spent a lot of time wandering around down there before finding the correct path.... I guess I shoulda drawn a map.

damn, but there is one pair of stairs down which leads to the second floor and another pair of stairs on the second floor which leads to the third floor right?

btw, how long is the game actualy? i have played 4 hours right now.

I'd have to check the save to be sure, but I think my total play time was about 12 hours.

finished the game just now at around 10 hours. a little bit on the short side but still an absolutely awesome game. would like to try legend of xanadu 1 now but the walkthrough here on this board isnt complete. does anybody know a good japanese walkthrough?

how long is part 1 compared to 2?

i think iam playing emeral dragon now.

I used the one at MindRec (http://turbo.mindrec.com/files/legend.of.xanadu-faq1).  It's missing a few things and is kinda vague (nat said it's as if it had been written by someone that beat the game, waited a year or two, and then wrote the walkthrough from memory), but it hits all the sticking points and was enough for me to beat it.

Probably four times as long, maybe more.
