Turbo Grafx on iphone?

It's decent. You have to deal with on-screen controls (I don't think it supports external gamepads). It's a good emulator for the games they have available though.
-
I bought this months ago and I play the daily freebie pretty often. It lets you sample a different game for 10 minutes or something every day. Generally, I don't like it.
-
Apparently you are as the thread for it here is very long.

Welcome to 2010! :P

I unfortunately am so "gamepad trained" that I completely suck at touch screen gaming. So I cant enjoy any of those games.
I feel like a toddler trying to pull off a dragon punch from the 2P side of an arcade cabinet.
Or like giving your grandpa your iphone to make a phone call.
*and no I dont have an iphone or an SF arcade cabinet*

It's a shame they never made a dedicated Ipad version. Has anyone tried it on an Ipad?
-
Yeah, it runs in that 1x/2x scaled mode, so when you blow it up, it's all pixelated. There are jailbreak apps like FullForce and one paid app that supposedly makes it full screen, but the app has to natively support iphone retina displays for it to work

Too bad, I was really jonesing for some Ipad Alien Crush the other day. Might have to make it happen on a droid tablet.

For those of you just discovering Hudson's TG-16 for iPhone, you may find this mildly interesting:

Alien Crush (pinball games in general) are perfectly suited for touch controls on a phone/tablet.

It's pretty much that; if you give your fingers some time to "retrain" some, but not all, games are still playable. It's a good way to test out games before you buy.

Wow, that is so cool. I did not know Hudson still supported TG-16. I am going to have to take my wife's IPAD away for awhile.

Well not everyone "had the internet" in 2010 (ok, I did...)
I thought this was cool, and had not seen it on here... I'm gonna try on the ipad.
I had my iphone jailbroken, and I was able to use a wiimote as the bluetooth controller for the gameboy emulator. Pretty awesome... I wonder if you can do that somehow....
-
And there could be this:

The Android port of Mednafen (PCEEmu?) seems to be more or less perfect, runs isos and has Wiimote support. If your phone is jailbroken, look for an Apple version of that.

Am I the only one who missed this?
It seems you were :)

Yes! Only app I ever paid money for on my phone. I do not own a Wii, but I got a 'mote just to use with PCE.emu. Airplane rides will never be the same!
-
I find most classic games virtually unplayable with touch screen controls and forget about shooters. I have the app and tried some shooters on it, but the precision control is simply not there. I'd like to try Dragon's Curse on it that one might be playable otherwise I just like messing around with the freebies when I wanna kill some time and have nothing else to do.

the Real thing is better
-
i bought Dragon's Curse a while ago, and tried it on my ipod touch. The D pad is crappy and I find myself doing the move forward a little, back a bit, to get jumps right. While on a physical controller, you wouldn't have to worry about estimating the d-pad movement.

I've tried a few different emulators on my phone and just can't get used to the controls. I've considered picking up a Wiimote even though I don't own a Wii, but I honestly don't see myself carrying it around for the off chance I want to play a game. And if I'm going to obey at home, I'm going to use real hardware. :D

True, I guess you could lug around a turbo express if you wanted to play any of the games... Only 4x bigger than a phone.

I have been known to do this.
