YEAH!
Fun game, still barely getting into it. The two button control is super easy to use and get used to. Fighting style wise, I've gone in with the SF2 formula and I've been able to get a good chunk of moves figured out. So far Tamaki with her racket and Karina with the frog are my favorite. Will have to find a guide online.
Haven't tried story mode yet, but I like the Vs Comp mode quite a bit.
Graphics are good and there's some bouncy going on from time to time.
What I really like is the pace. I was able to put together some good combos earlier on. Not sure how deep the fighting mechanics are btw.

This game f*cking rules.
I like whats her face.
the little shinto priest slut that punches fast as f*ck.
Her names like, Yakitori or something.
-
I like it as well. I found that the difficulty ramps up signifigantly as you play through the story mode. It can be really fast paced at times but its still fun. The fighting mechanics don't have much too them IMO but i dont really care.

I need to play as her. I fought her today using Tamaki; there's nothing like serving a ball to the top of a shinto maidens head....
edit: and there's a Saturn version as well?

Yeah duder.
It really is an underrated fighting game. I prefer it over new pieces of shit like Street Fighter IV super alpha 9er

You know what is funny? Whenever it is a good, everything is just right, but if every single one of those girl characters, were boys, it would be whole entirely differnt story.
I know if your a guy, it would be hard to understand, but I am pretty sure the ladies understand what I am getting at. Imagine if all those girls were boys, in those long uniforms.

have it on pce and saturn. a funny console vs. brawler for sure :)

Correct me if I'm misunderstanding what you're saying here, but my response is that I think the gameplay is good to the point that guys would still praise it even if it weren't an all-girl fighter. If anything, I think the all-female cast probably leads some to write this game off as little more than perverted eye candy.
I can think of only about two true fighters that skip the one or two token female characters for an all-male cast: the original Fatal Fury and the original Street Fighter. What do teh wimmenz think of those games?

go on da streetz and ask 'em :D

The bishounen loving crowd is taken care off in the game. There are a couple of male student characters.

That is the thing, if it was just a bunch of guys, fighting, I am sure enough this game would not sell so well. Take Strip Fighter, for example, even a few frames missing here or there, it still manages to be a good fighter. In real life, what is the chance, that a group of reasonable looking women will enter a martial arts ring, and non of them will look like anything outside of a wrestling ring. I said wrestling not WWF.

So I checked out this game. The character graphics are up to par with NEO-GEO/Mark of the wolves. SNK. The backgrounds, while desinged cleverly, also are on par with Saturn. However they are a little bare. The music, is brimming with energy. Also the fighting effects work out in the end. Take the Smaasshhh effect. I do not think their has been another game asides Earthbound, that used those words. Also when the character is knocked out, you can hear cheering, to wake up.
Again like SNK, stuff it uses a fair amount of special effects, and of course has the Street Fighter system. Meaning as you move up the scale, the opponent becomes stronger. I haven't had that feeling since.
The best part about that game is anti gravity chests, without the extra baggage. ( I haven't used that term, forever ) Like in Fatal Fury Mia, has those sweaty milk tanks, at least in this game, they skip and do not come back down. Never have I seen such design. It also beats that waitress fighter for the amount of sprites, coloring, and movement, it uses, but that is the only issue I see. Of the three lady fighters I know about, this one comes out, in second place. The PCE strip fighter comes out on top, because it takes streetfighter, and has
all kinds of crazy moves, that was only found in Mortal Kombat. However I think I could play this longer then SF, because it is easier to look at.
Check out the walk animations and tell me this not SNK type graphics reborn.
They made a reasonable fighting

Fatal Fury Mia was a pretty cool entry in the series, but I wish it had come out for something other than the Game Gear.

Hey, screw you. This game is decent. Not like there are a lot of other good fighters on the Turbo. Who compares PCE fighters to Neo Geo?
-
Asuka 120% is more than decent, it's great! But speaking of Neo, I think this game did influence the direction of KOF's play style.

Agreed

Really?
I tell you what, for a two button SF2 like fighter it's pretty solid and deep. Each character is fun and quirky enough that there's all sorts of different play styles to choose from to keep it from going stale. I still haven't beaten it....
