New Super Potato opened up in Osaka, they are proudly selling all 6 of the Kid's Station games for the low low price of 1,869,000yen.
That's $23,880.17 with today's exchange rate. :-&

Cant see the ten-key controller. Anyway, thibaut s gonna grab em for sure :)
Didnt been to akiba lately. Any chances they took it from there?
-
No Ten-key, just the 6 games. I haven't been to Akiba since Golden Week, could be the same set. The new Potato (this makes 3 in Den Den alone XD ) has a new show-off case with some crazy one of a kinds, most not for sale besides this.
-
I'll take two!!! Oh... no controller... nevermind.
-
Do you have any pictures of the other cool one of a kinds?
-
cool for the heads up on these, damn I don't know anyone in Tokyo (my friends in Japan are living in other cities), I would love to buy this set of games.
Like others have said I'd be very interested to find out what the asking price is... :D
now, go for it :D

-
there are 6 different games in the set.
-
Thats only like 2.5 Magical Chases by todays exchange rate
-
I am tired of these sponge-bob people. I mean seriously, the price is too high, for that.
-
it might be too high, but it is also too rare.

Someone is too high. I think the sellers, possibly.
-
peter sellers?
-
Do all stores in Japan use those fancy handwritten price tags? Americans are lazy, they just print boring price tags. Everytime I see pics of stuff in J stores they have nice tags.
-
especially super potato like to do that for the more pricy and rare stuff :)

$23,880.17 works out at $3,980.03 for each of the six titles
If you are quick Thibaut has Vol 5 (Fushigi na Shima) up for grabs for a snip at 2000 Euro / $2,466.85 US

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that these expensive games function more as "conversation pieces" to encourage folks to go to the store (an attraction). In fact, it is more exciting to "overinflate" the price to make it more memorable. Now, I'm sure they'd sell Kid's Station if someone was crazy enough to pay full asking price, but selling the item is not its raison d'ĂȘtre, so to speak. Getting people in a store to buy the more "common" titles that are overflowing the shelves, though... (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcgs.png)

i just came back from japan and i can confirm this is the set that they had in Akiba. I asked them about it since i noticed it missing when i went there and they stated they moved it to the new store.
They also moved a lot of the super rare items too as it was almost depressing on how many of the museum pieces were gone. I had to ask them if they had money trouble and were forced to sell but they all got moved there.
-
You asked them if they had money trouble? LOL, you might want to study a little Japanese culture next time. :)
Anyway the move makes sense, Super Potato is Osaka native, and the new store is quite cool, it's probably the biggest store they have space wise, and some nice displays. Thought the ugly-ass Treamcast kinda hurts it.

RegalSin does.
