Awesome, I was just on my way out the door. But now I'm heading over to download it, burn it to CD and listen to in my car right away.

Oh, that's your voice on this, sunteam_paul? I was gonna prefix my comments with the "Hey, the Briton's right on this." It's always a trip listening to a British accent. Heh-heh. Anyway, agreed on Nexzr's first level background music. I was always fond of it also after being lucky enough to snag a used copy way back in '94 that was in pretty fair condition. Think I paid 15 USD for it. Anyway, it was a nice addition to the shooter library to say the least, despite some short comings.
I gotta admit, the only time I ever taped game music for listening in the car on the way to work or just driving somewhere was for Gate of Thunder and the Ys I, II, & III arrangements. The guitar playing in GOT is just that badass. I'll still listen to it every now and then when I'm in the mood.

Will check it out in a minute, I just listened to 5 for the first time finally just recently and it was great, really loved the Momo Tarou Densetsu story you read ;) .

Yup that's me.
I've been taping music since the days of the ZX Spectrum. I've still got 2 tapes of Spectrum (48k and 128k) music, loads of C64 music (which is just awesome) and countless collections of Sega Master System stuff. Fond memories of old days with a dodgy cassette deck hooked up to an even dodgier TV to record all that stuff. Took me ages.

Great work again, Paul. Your online radio show is actually the only one I listen to :P . By the way, it's nice when you post the updates on the Turbo Grafx Network because since I am a member there, I get an email for your post and it gives me a link to your podcast for the latest episode. I recommend others trying this! Oh and don't forget to post on the Turbo Grafx Network while you're at it ;) .

Or you could just let iTunes automatically download the podcasts for you. You are using iTunes, aren't you? If not....

About the show, this was actually the first episode I've downloaded. It was pretty interesting, actually. I'll listen to the others later. :)
About taping video game music.. He he. I remember when me and a friend used to use the world's worst tape recorder to record music from Ys and Golvellius on the Sega Master System. Terrible sound. Not only that, we held it with our hands, so we kinda moved it around all the time, so the volume changed all the time. Good times.

Dude! I listened to this show countless times over the past 2-3 days! Absolutely brill. This and the Xmas episode are my faves.
I loved the bit on Rastan! :).
Overall, the chiptune selections were excellent. Man, Batman has kickass tunes! They rival the NES soundtrack (which is pretty sweet). After hearing the tracks you played, and recalling that some folks here said Batman HuCard was a decent "action puzzle" game, I'm gonna have to get it. Hope it isn't too expensive :).

Batman is pretty cool. It's quite a bit like the first Doraemon game but not quite as good in my opinion.
