Title: Raffle: AV modded Genesis 2 deck

Up for raffle is a slightly dusty but perfect working stereo av modded Genesis 2 deck. No cables, power brick, etc included. Winner pays shipping. Sure Prof, I'll enter. This is pretty cool actually. Did you mod this yourself as a learning project (honest question!)?
No actually this is probably the 20th Genesis 2 deck I have modded, and to be honest I cant even recall how many Genesis 1, 2,3 and Xeye decks in total I have modded in general. I could have region modded it also but after I finished the AV mod I ran out of time as I was in the middle of a move, so the system got shoved in a closet when we got totally moved into the house I rent now. I have a Genesis 1 here that I pulled out of the closet the other day, svideo and region modded it, so that is the one I am currently using.

Sparkster had a popular cartoon? :P (totally ignoring the TWO real possibilities, both of which I don't own. So, lucky me if I win!).
And Prof, I do recall reading your modding sites a long time ago. Eventually I'd like to get my model 1 at least s-vid modded and region modded. Nice to be actively aware of another guy on here who can do that. I can think of four or five guys at least!

Sadly I don't do any mod or supergun work for people anymore. As of late I just don't have the time with all the old computers that I restore and all. Maybe down the road I might start having more time again, and if I do I would be happy to do one for you or whomever. Honestly though the svideo mod isn't that hard to do as long as you have some basic solder skills. The only thing you will need is a drill and some certain size drill bits to do the holes for the av jacks. If not, as you mentioned, there are a few other very talented people here who can do the work.

The more you enter, the better more chances you have. Honestly, I really have won four I think (one was the Ys IV printed covers from Sparky that a few people won, so I don't know if that should count or not). The most substantial was four TG loosies of Super Star Solder, Bonk, Alien Crush and China Warrior. I re-raffled Bonk and Alien Crush, as I later (or before, I forget) got copies with case/manual.
I've held three raffles, although one was for three copies of the Sapphire boot. I ended up giving two extra away to runner-ups. So, three raffles for five items. None were huge items. I obviously don't count Sadler "winning" my raffle of a burnt CD-R of Alba music as a raffle!!!

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth or nothin', but does this have the crappy amp in it that most Model 2's have, or did the AV mod negate that?

I honestly don't remember how the audio sounds on this deck, and I don't have many games to try out on it. When I fired it up a couple weeks ago I only tried Gain Ground on it, which is not what I would consider the best to test sound with. I have Bare Knuckle 2 and 3 which have excellent music, but this deck is not region modded, so I cant test them out on it.
