What you can see here is the limited edition pack which includes the reissue of Volume 1 (the Coregrafx side) and the all new volume 2 (the CD-Rom² side) in an IFU box.

FOLKS, don't be frightened by French. A tremendous amount of the content in these books is accessible with basic skills. AND, even if you are totally clueless with the language, the layout and graphic design is top-notch and enjoyable from a purely aesthetic point-of-view.

Call me crazy, but I'd suggest picking this up simply to marvel at a homegrown effort to document the PCE.

THEY ARE OUR FRENCH COMRADES, AFTER ALL. (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcgs.png)

NOTE: If my post leaves you unconvinced, you should watch some films by Jean-Luc Godard, at the very least.

I have the original Volume 1, but DAMN, I'm so tempted to re-purchase it for the beauty pictured in your post.

I am not understanding what I am looking at..  :(

These are the books about the PC Engine that I wrote in. The Interface Unit is the collector version including special versions of both volumes. The Coregrafx volume is about Hucards and the CD part is about CD games. Of course, there are lots of things to read other than the reviews of every single PCE game (except Mysterious Song, I didn't have enough time to include it).

The 2 other books are the regular versions. The first volume was 1st published in 2009 here in France but the 2000 copies went out of stock almost 2 years ago now so this is an upgraded reprint (16 pages added).

So basically, you've got more than 400 pages of absolute obey (in french though).

Necromancer>ain't it? ;)

So, can we get a couple of pics of the inside of the books?

Also, where can this be found, and why am I just now learning of this AFTER I sent Necromancer my Secret Santa wish list?   ](*,)

--Well, I just watched the video, so that served to whet my appetite for more pics!--

Unfortunately, the collector set was only available for preorder, that are now over.

You can order the books at amazon.fr or directly from the editor's website (Pix N Love).

Most of us here don't speak teh french, as due to our caveman like low brows and simple brains, we were barely able to master the english language as is, let alone the use of fire, or the wheel, and in no way could we master two languages at once. Regardless, cool to see this anyway. Would be awesome if a english edition was published so that our simple child like intellects could also be exposed to.

Well, I think the collector's edition would have been nice - I really like the way they put it together.
However, as shubibinman states, you can order it from Amazon France.  Of course, that means it'd be the 4th (maybe 5th ?) country I have to make a new Amazon account for.

I wonder how much international shipping is for the two books... 19 euros each for the books isn't so bad, but shipping could be nasty.

Update:

To Canada and the USA, it looks like shipping is one of two choices; either:
- "rapide" (10 to 12 days, which is not so rapid), for 9.00 euro plus 1.90 euro per item.
- or, "eclair" (I don't think this is a pastry - 2 to 4 days), for 20.00 euros, plus 4.00 euro per kilogram.

Unfortunately, no release is planned outside of France. Pix N Love tried to translate and distribute their books in english speaking countries but it was too much an investment and it looked like it would have been a total failure.

But things might change, who knows?

About The Bible PC Engine Volume 2, there would be no real point to sell it outside of FRance as one the main article talks about how the PCE was distributed here and there would be no point to tell that story to US or japanase readers.

I'd read it, assuming there's some real meat to it.

I've interviewed the guy who first imported the PCE in France and the woman who established Sodipeng. :)

there is always a point, and I'd bet one of my legs that some japanese folks would love to read about some historically kaigai stories of their legendary gaming stuff :)

As Pix N LOve's big boss knows a few people in Japan's retrogaming scene, I'm pretty sure he'll manage to ship some copies to retrogame shops in Tokyo and Osaka ;)

I think you can alos order directly from their website, they would ship to Japan I guess.

Yes, I've been there once. The copy you saw was given to the bar by my friend, who is Pix N Love's boss. :)
I don't know if they still have it but they also had a copy of Power Strike II, which was only released in Europe, that I sold them. Shubibiman is everywhere :p

Is there a page of PCE Bible scanned anywhere? I had a cool idea. I tested a beta of Windows 8, probably the coolest feature is you can scan a printed image and it will detect the language and  on the fly translate the text. If it works I might purchase the PCE Bible. Are there little mini reviews in this thing?
