Waseem was some big tymer over on those forums or something I guess. Now he's his own self appointed Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.

Yeah, Waseem was a pretty hardcore arcade collector for a few years there, before he got arrested.

I've been following the news stories about the trial, and the prosecution's case is pretty thin. That being said, I think his self representation is going to bite him in the ass and cost him the trial. With a good attorney, I think he would get off unless the prosecution has some piece of damning evidence that I don't know about.

Not even lawyers represent themselves. Its basically an infinitely stupid thing to do...but probably better than most court appointed defense attorneys who's job is basically to fill out a plea bargain so you can go to jail without putting up too much of a fight and slowing down the machine.

As f*cked up as Neo Geo Big Tymers are, its kind of amazing this sort of story isn't more common. There are a lot of extremely evil and %100 unrepentant f*ckers out there that collect Neo. There must be so much horrible shit we don't know about.

This guy probably thinks that the kid who got stabbed is really only testifying against him because he's jealous of his collection.

I don't get it? He was hanging out with this woman, and what? Did he made any moves on her or just decided to sit on the steps of her house or something like that. So she decideds to give a court order, that sent him to jail ( by state law, I assume ).

Am I missing something here?

Two guys, one guy who could have killed him, and the other trying to find a way out of jail,
in a room with a jury, trying to decide who and what? No lawyers invovled?
So it is a face-off then?

As the old saying goes... a person who represents themselves in court has a fool for a client.

By your standards, Waseem did nothing wrong.  Up to and including stabbing that woman and her son.  Except that you would have taken the opportunity to f*ck her dead body, which I assume Waseem skipped.

Son of Sam was a relgious man........................

When I said, I don't get it, I mean why did she put him in jail, for? It seems that he went insane, because she put him in jail in the first place. She turned him insane, from that exprience.

Also both sides seems to not using Lawyers at all.

You mean he's not openly telling how he stabbed people?  If he's innocent, what would be the purpose of withholding information?

He must fill his stab quota to prove he's hardcore enough for the neo geo.

Neogeo people think they are sooo coooee, because their carts are big, hard, and robust.
and looks like something out of a TNMNT comic/animation. Does not mean they have the right to take away a kids only source of videogame income.

The real Big Tymers are drawn to Neo because it is exclusive. They believe at the core that they are a better class of people and that they need to own something exclusive to prove this.

They can afford a $10,000 copy of Kizuna because their dad, and his dad, and his dad's dad, and his dad's dad's dad, were all rich as f*ck. They could just buy an MVS for $80, but they don't want that because it doesn't cost $10,000. $80 is not $10k. The better class of people buy $80 socks, not $80 video games. $10,000 games proved they are exclusive, $80 games prove you once had $80, they prove nothing.

If you say you think he's stupid for paying $10k for a $80 game, they'll just say you are jealous riffraff, and of how they laugh at jealous riffraff like you.

Seriously, invest a few days to read the writings of Crazy Dion, ChrisR. They are seriously delusional and just...nuts. Some of the most amazingly f*cked up shit you'll read on the internet about games. Their are the most egotistical f*ckers on Earth and they don't feel they can do any wrong. Ever.

And then you have the wannabe big tymers, the video game equivalent of a rusted out Caprice Classic rolling on dubs. They come and go, no big. Since this guy did time and can't even afford a lawyer, he's clearly not a Big Tymer...just crazy.

Its the real big tymers that are the most thought provoking. If a guy is insane enough to collect Neo AND he has enough money and connections to the Russian mob or whatever to have you killed...can you imagine how much f*cked up shit must be going on in those people's lives you don't even know about? I mean, how many sex slaves are in the well in Mitt Romney's basement anyway? We'll never f*cking know. Those people people are %100 free to let their psychoses flourish.

Oh man, just looked up some of that NGF stuff...wow. WOW, what a bunch of elitist douches.
Their idea of an exclusive club, only for those with the fattest of wallets (and/or lack of common sense) is insulting, to say the least.
But physically alterin- sorry, correcting copies of games and manuals and sell them off is even more so. Glad they don't seem too into the PCE

Everything I read about that felt even more stupidious because of the prices involved.

Yet another crackhead tainting my beloved Neo Geo. It's really sad and stupid the kind of place Neo Geo.com turned into.
