Someone was recently complaining about not being able to find Ys IV for sale on eBay without getting "sniped".
Well here's one with a very reasonable Buy-It-Now price-

Ouch! That's expensive! I bought a brand new copy for $20! That was just a couple of months ago! :P
-
Yeah, but it still less than a new game in stores and is better'n anything(and less than the $100 I paid back in the day).
But the person who posted earlier said that they just wanted to buy it outright, since they were always outbid at the last minute. This is how you get games like this if you're not willing to bid.
-
That's a pretty good price for today actually. I still love the deal I got for it though (Ys IV, Dragon Slayer, Exile $60 shipped :D ). That was a rare deal to get however.

And the seller is very reliable. Carlson has been selling Turbo and PCE goods for many years now and is a great guy.

I've bought from him several times and haven't had any problems. He also often has some really great deals on stuff thats usually only available from sellers out of Japan.
Although I've been having trouble with more and more(other) sellers falsely describing conditions.
I'm not into grading or anything, but if you use your own (broken down)grading system or flat out say an item in mint or near-perfect and its arives crinkled or dirty, its not cool.
I don't mind being lied to about how super-ultra-rare(!) a common item is, or how it normally goes for $400+(!) when really its more like $40, but I shouldn't have to risk retalitory negative feedback after receiving a "mint" piece of garbage.

I wonder who the lucky guy was who got the game since it now says "item has ended"?

The auction ended because the time ran out. Nobody bought it, but its been relisted-

Cool! Now it gives aspiring Ys collectors another chance at getting this classic! :D
So, who's interested?
-
Nobody bought it,
That's because it's overpriced. Who would buy that game for that much money? Not mee.

ITEM: Ys IV
PRICE: An arm and a leg
-
Seriously though, that's not a bad price for it for today's standards. Maybe around 5 years ago or so it could be considered a bit expensive, but the typical price for Dawn of Ys these days is $40-60.
-
$40-60.... Yeah right. Like I said, I bought mine NEW on Ebay a few months ago. $20 dollars. And it was not "buy it now", there were plenty of bidders.
I've even seen it for $15 buy it now. And many times for $20-25.
I have never seen the game sell for $30 or more. And it's not worth $30 or more. It's one of the most common PCE games.
If you want it even cheaper you can get it at around $5-10 at Yahoo Japan.
Grab this one for $25 instead.

I'd be surprised if you'd get "sniped."
-
Well I guess you are what we call a LUCKY one, not everyone gets deals that cheap for the game :D ! I think a lot of other people can agree that that is definitely cheap for Ys IV these days, the prices just aren't what they used to be. Maybe the prices are starting to go down again, it seems PCE prices go down while TG16 prices go up :\ .
-
Lucky eh? The first Ys IV I bought was on Ebay Italy. €1. That's cheap. And I'm not kidding you. 8)
-
I must agree with Seldane on this. I've seen YSIV go for less quite a few times.

Anyone with any patience can scoop up good deals. But this guy said that he was unable to win a single auction and just wanted to buy it directly asap.
