Wow Bernie... didn't you just get that US System 3.0 card? The CD add-on + Turbo base system is a badass looking unit when all assembled, must've been a real hard decision to let it go.
If you're interested in seperating the 3.0 card, let me know (as I already have a Turbo + CD)
-
It is a VERY hard decision.. I am not interested in parting it out though..

I'll be honest - earlier this summer, I decided one of them had to go (Duo or TGCD). I loved both the Duo, and the TGCD, so it was a difficult choice to make - until I set them up side by side. I really like the look of the TGCD over the Duo and decided to keep the TGCD. I ended up selling the Duo... and so far I feel I made the right choice.
-
I don't think you should sell the stuff.
Chris

Sell it if you want, but take out the U.S. 3.0 card and auction it on ebay. If someone really needs a 3.0 card they can buy the PCE version and a Chopsado for $20. There's no sense in giving an insane CIB completist a sweet deal on expensive junk that's only going to sit on the shelf. Cut a forum member a deal on the TGCD and auction the 3.0 card on ebay to buy yourself something nice. Best of both worlds.

lol, That is exactly what my wife said.
Vestcoat, I actually thought about that, but decided that if I sell it, its all going at once. Those 3.0 cards seem to be hard to come by at an affordable price, and I actually got lucky with this one. :)

Bernie, did you see the first part of my PM?

lol, I guess I didnt, and I also didnt save it. I just cleaned my inbox/outbox out this morning... Hit me up again.

Don't do it Bernie! That boxed turbo you picked up is sweet and the other gear is too much of a pain to get and in the quality you have like the refurbed cd rom. It's always nice having 2 systems even if you don't play one much.

Yeah, I agree with Punk. I have the TG+CD, but I still plan on buying a Duo. I think it'd be great to have the best of both worlds. Keep it, unless you really need the money.
-
I think you should keep it as well. As soon as it's out the door, you're going to regret it. I know from experience.
-
You can always resell the card back to me but at a 20% less since its like a new car, once you take it off the lot the price drops, lol.
-
Do I get Rights of First Refusal?
-
Hey guys, yeah.. this system aint going anywhere. :) I tried boxing it up last night...and just couldnt. I will just make an effort to play it more. You guys are right, as soon as it leaves my hands, I would regret it.

Updated initial post. :) Just took me a little bit to figure out what I wanted to do.
From the first post.
Finally thought about this, and would rather trade this item than sell it. It works perfectly, and whomever gets it will be pleased. I am looking to trade this item for a boxed Turbo Duo, serial matching. I would also be open to a trade for the PC Engine Duo boxed. I love the unit, but lets face it, I like the Duo much better, and this system just sits there looking pretty. :) PM me if you are interested. More details in first part of this thread.
-
Good luck Bernie. I know I'd have a hard time letting everything go, so I'm sure you must be having a hell of a time.
-
I'll let this run a few days to see if anyone bites before I set it up on eBay. Just trying to cut the middle man out, since any funds from it will go towards what I am wanting to trade for.
-
Know what? f*ck eBay. If nobody has the system I want for trade, PM me an offer. I have an idea of what I want, so that I can turn around and get what I actually want. :) I will post some pics later on Saturday sometime.

Haha, that's the spirit!
But I still think youre going to regret giving it up... I have all 3 versions of the US systems in my gameroom, and each of them gets played based on it's upgrade (base system w Turbo Booster Plus = HuCards, CD Rom addon = CDs, Turbo Duo = SCDs). Looks cool too, all the different setups displayed together...

Nah, I wont regret it. What I would regret is sticking it on eBay. Id like it to stay here with the community. It really is a nice setup, very clean. Im very particular about my games and consoles, and take good care of things. Hell, I wont even let my wife touch my stuff when she cleans....I clean my stuff, keep your mitts off!! Whoever this goes to will be more than pleased, its just gonna be a bitch to ship since its so damn big. ](*,)

two flat rate boxes and youre good.

The black plastic case for the CD set up or the boxed TG16 wont fit in the largest flat rate box.

damn.

Posted pics of the system running Hellfire. The rag you see in the pic, is what I keep the system covered with so dust stays off it. Yeah, I'm anal like that. Asking $250, but will entertain reasonable offers so that this stays in the community.

$250 is more than a fair price Bernie. If I had the money and could keep it from my wife I'd buy this in a second. I wish this had been advertised a year ago I could have saved myself a few dollars.
I'm interested in the rag. How much? (I'm being serious).

Sell the Xbox instead.

HA!! No thanks, I like my 360. I still have a Turbo Duo, so I wont be missing out on any Obey!!

Sold to MotherGunner, it was good working with ya again man! :) We just keep trading our turbobs back and forth dont we?

Glad to see that it went to a good home.

Thanks again Bernie, and these will NEVER leave my collection. I will take good care of them. Fun fact, I never have owned a TG-CD. This will be my first. I still have my childhood orginal TG that Blue worked on for me. That will go to my son and this one will be my new setup. Duo-R's are nice but there is just something sexy about a full TG+CD setup... sigh..now I want to keep this fully stock so I may have to either get a 3.0 card or a blue barney. #-o
-
Yep. So glad this is going to someone in the community. Whew! Even though I picked up a US Duo recently (also from Bernie, no less!) my trusty old TG-CD rig still gets the most action. It's just so old school and sexy; and I know that controller like the back of my hand since I've been using it for ages (though I think the Duo's controller is actually more responsive!).
Woot.
-
Damn, Well, glad it all went somewhere where it will be appreciated. At least you got the money you needed Bernie.

Wasnt so much of I needed money, just didnt need the system. :) The money from it is an added benefit and avenue for more Obey!!

Ya what you said :).... It's my number one playing system, and congrats mother-g

I'd go for a PCE 3.0 (or Arcade Card Pro) and a chopsado.
-
I have them both, will do!
