Title: Vampire kid (forgot the Japanese name)
Post by: soop on October 21, 2012, 05:20:31 AM
So I was playing this today, and it's way better than I remember.  I know what the tomatoes are for now, I understand the armour, and the tomato bombs...  Still couldn't beat the final final boss, but that's just a matter of tactics I guess.

Yeah, what a nice little game!

That's the one!

First time I played it, it seemed like you could go through an over-complicated route fraught with peril, or an easy route, with no substantial difference.  But now I realise it's one of the better platformers.  Could still use some tweaking though.

yeah this has been on my want list for a while but it doesn't look like a $35 game. I know one will pop up for cheap though so I'm in no rush

It's a pretty bad ass game.  Definitely worth $35.

I don't think I paid that much, but considering I thought it was a Vampire kid-esque game, and then it wasn't, but now it is actually quite good, I'd value it at the low end of that bracket.  One of the better platformers.

Of course the Bonks are better, and if you're insane, NZ story is great, but you could get more bang for your buck with Pac Land.  Just sayin.

Oh, it's fun (although I don't like the balloon navigation, having grown up with the Amiga version), but it just gets INSANELY hard.  Love that game though
