Just wondering what's the best deal you guys gotten over time for TG-16 Stuff
Here's a few of mine
Splatter House and Raiden for 25$ complete minus the box
R-Type, Alien Crush and Side Arms for 10 all 3 complete..
Nothing to fancy but considering eBay, resellers and retro stores the seem like good deals to me.

When I was in college, around 1997, a local video rental store was going out of business. They unloaded all their TurboGrafx-16 games for $4 a pop. Got some great deals there.
The same year, I was at Goodwill and found a TurboGrafx-16 console for $15. Since I had sold mine a few years prior, I snatched it up immediately.
It was a good year for Turbo games!

In the early days you could get a lot of this stuff for very cheap. I had gotten 5 turbo sticks, 1 multitap and 1 big din to mini din for $50 over at Turbo Zone Direct back in the late 90s. A pity that site is no more.
-
About a year and a half ago, I bought some Turbografx games from a former NEC employee in IL who I found on Craigslist. I bought about 15 games for 5 bucks a piece complete minus the box. And I got good stuff like Ys Book I & II, Monster Lair, and Psychosis.
-
I got DE2, Cotton, M&M3, Syd Mead's, etc, for about $1-2 a piece, when you break down the lot I got.
-
Hmmm I got a few decent deals over the summer, nothing amazing yet.
dead moon huey for $10
D and D OotG huey for $10
tricky kick complete for $2
and a TG-16 for $35

Beyond Shadowgate and Might & Magic 3 for free. Beyond Shadowgate was not in the best condition, but M&M 3 was complete with map and almost like new. This guy used to work for Buy Rite before they closed. He knew I had a Turbo Duo and just gave them to me. This was back in 1998 so he had no idea what they would be like now.
I also scored Kabuki Itoryodan for 0.99 on ebay with free shipping. I felt bad and paid the guy a little for shipping.
Lets see...oh yeah in 1994 I got both Cotton and Dungeon Explorer II for $10 total. Picked them up at a Video Game Exchange in Ohio. I wonder if those stores still exist. Arkhan would probably know. They were great for used games. That same store one summer also saw me buying Turbo stuff, and some guy wanted to unload some games he didn't want. I bought Spriggan, Valis IV, Rayxanber II, and Hellfire S for $80 even. Not like a crazy deal but good for 1994.

When turbo was loosing ground in the early 90s my Dad had bought a copy of every game they had available for $5 a piece from a local video rental store. He then gave me a game every time I got an A on a test. Good thing I got all those games before I made it to highschool. lol

all my good deals have been from this site. My best deal would have to be the copy of castlevania i got for $60
-
$5 for my TurboDuo from a local game store would have to be my best deal thus far
-
I already had Ys 4, but, I had found a copy for only $12 at a time when it was around $200 on ebay. Same goes for Sidearms Special, though I don't think that one was worth as much. I found both at Game Dude in North Hollywood. Good times! Also, I got really good deals on Rainbow Islands & Dragon Knight & Graffiti(something like $60 IIRC, at the time, it was a great deal), & the guy threw in for free R-type Complete & Puyo Puyo Tsu, both of which were rare at the time. Although, it might've been that I won Puyo Puyo Tsu & got Rainbow Islands for free. Either way, it still blows me away. I forget what he said, just something along the lines of throwing them in as a bonus!

Dam not bad deals..

I bought a lot locally which included a tg16, ave 3 pad, and about 40 games including soldier blade, sealed sinistron, sss, wold sport comp, etc all for $120
-
I guess it's not a deal, but Christmas 93 my parents were awesome and bought me Dracula X. One of the best Xmas' ever!
-
Got an Express with wall and car power adaptors and 5 games for $30. Sold 4 of the 5 games for $30 :)
I picked up a box of ~10 unopened Galaga 90's and turned around and sold them all save for 3 copies for my purchase price, giving me and two buddies a free copy.
-
I bought the American Duo when it came out for $300 with its pack-in versions of Ys 1&2, Gate of Thunder, Bonk, Bonk 2, Bomberman, and Ninja Spirt. To this day I still consider that the best deal in the history of video games.
I bought a "broken" Duo R for $65 that only needed a power supply. That was pretty rad.

This past summer I bought a TG16, TurboBooster, Legendary Axe, Neutopia, Dungeon Explorer, Victory Run, Alien Crush, Galaga, the Turbo controller extension, TV sports Football, all for USD USD60.00, some were complete in box. I found it at a Garage Sale
-
I got a CIB TG-16 with a bunch of paper work, CIJ Splatterhouse, CIJ Kieth Courage and a loose Bonk's revenge for $85.
I recently got Chew Man Fu, and Parasol stars complete expect for the coardboard box for $30 a piece which isn't too bad.

Back in the mid 90's when TG-16 was essentially dead and the next gen stuff was coming out, the outlet mall in Gurnee IL had an Electronics Boutique and they sold new copies of Side Arms for .99 cents. I bought 10 of them and passed them out to friends.
-
Just last year, I got Alien Crush, Power Golf and World Class Baseball all sealed for 15€. Also, I got from another seller:
-Chase HQ
-King of Casino
-Time Cruise
-Silent Debuggers
-Double Dungeons
-Jj and Jeff
-Nigh Creatures
All card with instructions, for 0,50€ each. And, as he was left with just two games, he added them for free to the lot: Tv Sports Football and Battle Royale. Cool!

I obtained a complete Bonk III from someone here on the forums, for free.

yea man that deal was awesome wish we had that here in the uk, i dont remember getting any more than 1 game as a pack in and that was years ago now your lucky to get a hdmi cable to plug your console in when you buy it.
-
Not exactly a deal I found, but a good friend gave me a Turbo Express for my birthday about 12 years ago. I was shocked when I unwrapped it. Best birthday gift ever!
-
For years I spent looking for a Bonk III hucard manual. Someone here connected me to his friend who traded it for my spare loose copy of Air Zonk. I thought it was a fair trade for something that is next to impossible to find unless you're willing to pay $300 on f*ckBay....
-
My greatest deal was just earlier this year when i got 36 sealed games, a Turbo Grafx system in case, and some accesories from some kid who traded it to me for a $300 Best Buy gift card that I got for free. Video is on my youtube channel.
-
Found a 10 games for $20, one of them was the Super System Card Ver. 3.0
-
The best deal i got was 2 TG Express for free.

Once, I was walking through an alley in a midwestern city. A man was approaching, walking the other way. He was wearing a trenchcoat, had a few days growth of beard, and stared at me with anger in his eyes. As we got closed, he stared to move towards me. I looked for a route of escape, but I was trapped by a dumpster. He towered above me. He raised his hand high in the air, and I was sure that he would punch me about the face. I put up my hands in defense, clenched my eyes shut, and prepared for the worst. I felt something gently touch my hands- he was handing me something. By the time I opened my eyes, he was walking away. But he had left something with me. In my hands, I found a player's condition copy of China Warrior, and a crumpled up $5 bill.
