Title: Robbing My Friend
Post by: Retrocool on November 19, 2012, 06:02:08 PM
I will never do this, but i was talking to a friend of mine the other day about me playing my TG16 still and he was like.."WHAT?  you still play that?"

I was like yeah totally, best system in the world.  He proceeded to tell me he was a brand new tg16 in the box in his basement that he never opened

WTF.  I didnt believe him and told me to show it to me..

He did, WTF again with 6 new games never opened.

Bonk 1,2 Alien, King of Casino Bloody Wolf and i cant remember the other one..(not including keith courage here btw)

He didnt think much of it that he just brought it for his kid that didnt want it (wanted a SNES) and just left it in the basement to collect dust.

Told him dont be surprised if it ends up missing..

Yeah..  I would totally figure out a way to get it from him.  Its apparent he has no interest in it.  :)

Weird. If the kid didn't want it (which is stupid because he could've been enjoying a Super Nintendo AND a TG-16), why didn't your friend take it back to the store? I'm guessing it wasn't cheap. And if they have zero interest in it, why not offer to give it to you or at least sell it? What's the point of having it take up space and collect dust for all eternity?

With your posts full of infinite wisdom, is it safe to assume your child will be a genius should a woman walk into any traps you have set out, and assuming she allows you to contaminate her with that DJ Qualls charm of yours? ;-)

Make em an offer dude !!! If he's an old friend of yours he might even just give it to you .. People that are not into gaming especially retro gaming don't see old consoles the way we do .. It's just some old game system to them .. I say go for it and let us know what happens ..

If it's in the basement not being used, it must have already been graded.  :-k

Rubbing your friend?  Well, never tried it, but I guess, that, if you do and he is still your friend afterwards, then it's alright...

Why don't you straight up ask him to sell you the system etc. Since it's you're friend he will probably cut you a deal or something.

Give him a resonable price, since he is your friend .
