Title: Bartre needs a PVM, anyone help me?
Post by: bartre on November 21, 2012, 03:27:54 AM
well, I need a PVM monitor, i've decided.
unfortunately, I have no idea how to get one, as my local CL is dead for that stuff.
anyone help me out? I'll be driving to MGC from Nebraska in march, so I could make a small detour to snag one then, too.

the only systems that really need rgb mods are n64 and pce/turbo. Everything else I was able to just buy cables online, it's awesome! When you do score one I'll link you to all the best places to get the cables ;)

what you want a list of the cable sources?
One thing you need to decide is if you want to go with euro scart or japanese rgb-21. The pinout is different and aren't interchangeable. Scart is probably cheaper and easier to find but not compatible with like a xrgb if you ever get one. I went with scart cause yeah it was a lot cheaper.
this is your best source for cables to adapt the scart cables to the rgb input on the pvm http://www.retrogamingcables.com/
you can get the rgb cables a little cheaper from this US seller though http://myworld.ebay.com/retro_console_accessories?_trksid=p2047675.l2559 and from other ebay sources
