Is it only going to be available with the magazine, or will it be available as a standalone too? Either way, me wanty.
Looks like fury unlimited is handling US sales according to the second post in the thread at AA. They are the same people who've released some homebrew veccy games.

I found the preorder on the French site but I don't think it's meant for people outside of France. (No fields for country, shipping prices seem static.)
But you do have the option to order one magazine and 2 copies of the game. ;)
Whoops... too slow. :P

I think they are going to be shipped from the US. I believe the guy who runs Fury Unlimited is here. He charges 6+3 (shipping) for the issue up now, so I'm not sure we can beat that. Unless you are really wanting it now and trying to get the French copy.

For now non french peoples cannot pre-order, not because english people smell gas (sorry this is the translation of a french-speaking), just because this magazine is usualy also translated in english, and the game will be bundled with it .. There are already 45 numbers (49 in french)..

So, Revival Chase will be available with the next English issue (#46) to come in january/february and sold by Good Deal Games and Fury Unlimited in USA (16/32 systems in UK) in bundle with the magazine (but this latter can be bought alone as usual).
If you cannot wait for the game with the English magazine, as this game is part of a bundle with the last French issue (#50) and will be available at the end of december, everybody can pre-order it this version. But the French magazine is only in French language (!) and a real bigger issue (more than 100 pages). Price is 30 euro without shipping cost. Shipping cost seem to be around 12 euro. So 42 euro could be a price. I have to see more in details the exact price and, I'll put these informations on the English part of the website http://revivalgames.org (http://revivalgames.org/) soon, probably before the end of this week.
Happy to see people enjoy playing new PCEngine games :)

As you wish Bernie! Just contact me for shipping cost. I think price could be around 42 euro (30 + shipping to USA). And the contents of ReVival English or French is not the same. English is 100% focused on homebrew as the French has features concerning Shoot'em up and more general retro reviews.

No problem for sending to New Zealand. One day, I really loove travel to this country :) So you have two solutions: - buy the French ReVival #50 issue + Revival Chase SCD game and shipping cost. - wait for the future English ReVival issue (#46) + Revival Chase SCD and shipping cost (and buy this package from GoodDealGames or Fury Unlimited or 16/32 Systems).
As you wish! Just send me a personal message.

I'm guessing it's delayed. I sent RayXamber a PM 2-3 weeks ago and haven't heard anything. IIRC, the Revival website originally slated it for December; now it says January. And there's no info at either of the U.S. distributor websites.
Can anyone explain the issue numbers to me? As far as I can tell, RC will be included with issue #50 in France and #46 in the U.S.., but the English translation on their website says #45. ???

Yes here are really good news :)
So, for people who cannot wait (for those who have already pre-ordered, package will be shipped tomorrow probably), Revival chase + French ReVival #50 (issue with 116 pages!) cost 42 euro, shipping included form France to USA. If you're not in a hurry, I recommend to you to wait for the next Revival English issue (with 60pages instead of 44 usually!) with which Revival Chase will be included too. The bundle will be available directly from Good Deal Games and/or Fury Unlimited (vectrex' developer). All two are very, very great support for homebrew gaming and Revival magazine ;) We haven't fixed the price yet but it will be between 35-40 USD for the bundle. Magazine would be accessed alone as always, but game is a part of the bundle and cannot be sold separately.
You can see the official teaser - only in French for the moment but it will be an English one with the availability of Revival English #45 - this evening (evening in France of course! ;) I am preparing it.
Please note that the game includes French version with 50 levels and English version with less (because it exists less issues in English). So difficulty incresed quicker in the English version than the French one, and the covers of the magazines are of course different ;)
Hope 2013 will be a very good year for all PCEngine lovers in the whole world :)
Here are some photos of the game (http://revivalgames.org/images/revivalchase/pack1.html) (http://revivalgames.org/images/revivalchase/cd.html) (http://revivalgames.org/images/revivalchase/cd_opened.html)

Alright, just to confirm, is the game itself identical for content and packaging... and only the magazines are different... and the French (50 levels) and English (less levels) "versions" are just optional play modes contained within the same game?

If you're gonna put "chase" in a PCE title, it had better be a sequel to Magical Chase.
But Magical Chase is already the sequel to Magical Sauras Tour. Revival Chase is the sequel to Chase HQ, not to be confused with Psycho Chaser, which is actually a gaiden and spawned its own North American exclusive sequel: Psychosis.

I'm willing to help if all else fails, but it looks like the UK shop linked will ship to you directly. Also check with the US guys - they might do it too.

This revival magazine needs to pay more attention to PC Engine releases. I saw all an issue with Beggar Prince on the cover.
#41 featured Insanity. 8)

It wasn't on the cover. :) That's what I mean.
Also, it wasn't on Revival. My mistake. It was on some OTHER magazine on the site.

I think there is no problem to ship to NZ (New Zealand I suppose? ;) but of course there will be more shipping cost. If you like, when US issue will be available (or perhaps you will like the French issue?), I'll contact you. Please just send to me an email. Thanks!
For PCEngine games on covers, no problem. I will be the case with the English issue #45 because this issue have two covers :) Yes Insanity has been reviewed in Revival. And it has been the case of mindrec games too. But there is no several releases on these machines you know... Perhaps for Atlantean and Pyramide plunder ;)

We need PCE games on the covers of the magazine! :)
Has anyone read the other magazines on there? I'm curious if they're any good (Revival is pretty good. I've read those before)

Tongueman's Logic has been already reviewed and it is a great Picross game! :) But I haven't received yet Mysterious Song ... so I am unable to review it! I hope I'll receive it soon.

Would be really cool if at the end of the year, one of the magazines does a PCE Homebrew retrospective, so we can show all the other platforms how for we've come, and how awesome we all are.

It's too bad we won't have Jungle Bros., Dragon Arm, or anything else we may be working on out & ready to review by the end of the year, or atleast, as far as I can figure we won't. Maybe early next year.

SCHWEET!
I preordered the French version of Revival and it arrived today.
Revival is a booklet similar to the PCE guidebooks
This issue has a review of Faussete Amour
There is also a mention of Mysterious Song, Valkyrie Midnight, Dragon Arm, and Dino Force as well as the 2nd edition of La Bible PCEngine,
There is a 10 page spread on the making of Revival Chase
...and a 10 page spread on Hudson Shooters including all the soldier games, Gunhed, and Star Parodier
Thanks so much RayXambeR!

Hmm, it mentions Valkyrie Midnight, but not Jungle Bros. VM has been put on the backburner till JB is done, since VM will be more complicated in comparison.

Thank you Henry for the comments and happy to see that all is arrived well :) But you cannot really compare this special French issue #50 (anniversary) with English issues. Articles will not be the same between this issue and the future English one #45. Even if this latter has 60 pages instead of 44 usually ;) And English issues are 100% focused on homebrew gaming and not on "retro". So Hudson Soft series and Fausseté Amour are not included in the #45. Sorry for the Necmaniacs but the making-of of Revival Chase has been added :)
And I think Jungle Bros has been mentioned in a previous issue.

It may have been released in February, but it's March and I don't have it yet. So, like I said, if I were to get two new Duo games in March, that'd be awesome!

Good news: ReVival #45 is now finished! It is in the hands of the print shop and I'll received the issues in the next days. Then, I'll send all copies (and games!) to the distributors : Good Deal Games, Fury Unlimited and 16/32 Systems. So, around 20 march it could be ok for everybody. Yes, it is not february but all we are doing is on our spare time ... I hope you understand that.

Got this in an email from GDG...
Hello,
Just keeping you in the loop about the ReVival Chase project.
The good news is that the discs are done! The bad news is that the magazine running a bit behind, so the shipping date is now adjusted to the 19th of March pending any custom delays ;-( I know, a bummer, but it WILL be worth the wait.
Sincerely, Michael of GDG's Homebrew Heaven www.GoodDealGames.com (http://www.gooddealgames.com/)

Jan 28th is correct for the French version. I almost ordered a French copy and, in my PMs back and forth with Rayxamber, I have a message from him dated on the 28th saying that he was ready to mail me a copy "tomorrow" if I sent paypal.
For the English version, March 13th is probably the best estimate we're going to get. I also preordered mine from GDG, but you got yours about a week before I did.

Yeah. It was just released at different times depending which language you are. We got it when the english magazine came out, even though its the same game.
