...well, no, not really.
But I am working on art for a Windows sort-of-remake/sequel project and I'm using the PC Engine palette, so it could be. The art might be up for grabs if any PCE programmer needs something to play with.

That's really neat looking, lol.
Too bad Aetherbyte's got too much shit to do right now!
-
You really learn how talented the original artists were when you try to redraw this stuff. Art like this makes it easy.
-
Yes really cool arts .

Sweetness. (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcgs.html)

As derptarded as alot of spectrum games were, you still definitely have to give them credit for pulling off monochrome art the way they did.
-
Fantastic art, Paul! I saw this game for the first time this year as part of the C64 DTV games selection.
-
Nice, love the shading on that rock formation thing, gives me a Shadow of the Beast vibe.

I thought the same thing. :)

Nicely done Paul!

Here's Antiriad in PCE Colour. I'm thinking about doing a whole series of these because I really enjoy it.

Awesome work, Paul!
-
Too bad we can't get PCE versions of these games done :(
-
holy mother f*cker.
Antiriad looks awesome.
I can hear the little theme tune on the PCE now. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Awesome work, Paul!
AGREED X 100

Exolon: Hellmut Har :)

Well, were these games every fan-developed for the PCE, I would hope the status areas were shrunk a bit. Made sense on older PC architectures, but the PCE shouldn't have any problems with a larger action area.
-
YOU CAN'T STOP MAKING THESE UNTIL YOU DO A PHANTIS ONE.
-
Wahou, i love trantor, i have played a lot on my amstrad cpc ..
-
These are great, don't stop! Really good work there Paul

Never heard of Phantis.
Once I get a few more made, I'll start up a little gallery on my site.
UPDATE! OK, so Phantis was called Game Over 2 in the UK. I know it now.

It's called Ga... oh wait.
yeah. Draw that shit. Including the nippley title screen.
(I really liked both of those games.)
Also now I am reminded of Rim Runner, this C64 game that everyone hated. I liked it.

Yeah I knew about that PJ of yours, but when
does the official PCE release take place? :)

I'm not sure the PCE could do justice to the original SID tune.
-
CD release.
play the SIDs back as they were.
YEAH
-
yeah, sure the redbook way :)
-
Neato reimaginings, Paul. Any chance you'd do one of Benny Hill's speccy game?

Ooh, that one's quite a challenge. I'll consider it!

Hmmm, call me naive and overly-optimistic, but I would love to hear PCE PSG pump out some SID tunes.
PCE's Monty Mole (Impossamole) title song (the opening cinema) was nice, as far as I'm concerned, and I think the PCE could offer a warmer/sweeter sound than the SID (in the right hands, of course).
Also, this reminds me that I've been begging Arkhan to supply another http://www.aetherbyte.com/downloadables/sotb.mp3
tune for months and months... (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcgs.html)
I love SID, but I would love to hear familiar tunes on PSG... Maybe I'll have to learn how to use Arkhan's SQUIRREL (ROOSTER?) or whatever it's called.

I've not yet heard a decent arp on the PCE. Perhaps it would be better at matching Atart ST/Speccy 128k/Amstrad sound?
-
Magical Chase has some great arps.

Oh yes, forgot about that. Probably the best ones on the PCE.
-
I put goony arps at the start of that one song that appeared in one of the youtube videos.
They aren't hard to do. They just sound tacky most of the time due to the nature of the PCE's sound chip.

Fixed that for you. You are most welcome.

What about Somer Assault?

lol.
I can count the number of arp-using tunes I like on one hand. None of them are Tim Follin.
