An online aquaintence wants to sell me a Turbo Duo RX, I have searched around quite a bit and only found about US systems playing Japanese games. My question is this, will teh Turbo Duo RX play US games or will I need a converter? Any help is much appreciated.

You need a converter to play US hucards but it will play US discs just fine.

I have only seen a conveter for u systems to play japanese games. Do you or anyone else have a link to such a converter. I have a us tg16/cd but I cannot get super system card for it, so playing us hu cards won't be such a big deal, just have to switchsystems.

You can purchase a converter from The Turbo Zone. They're not cheap.

If you want to play American hucards on your japanese console, then you need to modify it.

Yep, the japanese consoles need to have a contact point on the processor grounded in addition to either a slot modification or an external converter. Other than the required grounding on the japanese system, the same external converter like either the Mirai or the Kisado will work for US to JP and JP to US. There is no difference.
