And when the fantastic dream faded away and you woke up, it was Christmas morning, and you realized you dreamt the whole thing....but wait...there's more.... You go to the brightly lit tree, and pray to Santa. "Please Santa please. I have been so good this year, so very good, and I deserve so much, but all I ask is for this one thing, let there be a sealed Alien Crush in my tree, for the love of God man, I know you have power and control over all!". You plunge your fist of pain into the Tree of Gifts, lightning crackles around your fist, and you retrieve your reward, a sealed Alien Crush. You open it with eager anticipation. Inside the case though you find the game was actually Tv Sports Basketball. Factory Mistake. Oops..

Nice. We should have a thread devoted to unboxing games.

Watching your video, it's always bugged me how Turbo boxes can't be opened without f*cking up that top flap. My OCD has reached the point where I've taken to gently lifting the whole top with a letter opener.

Many years ago I picked up the Japanese version of TV Sports Basketball--HOLY LORD ALMIGHTY, WHY?

I'm usually more careful, too, but it was awkward to (1) preserve the flap whilst (2) getting the damn thing open with one hand. (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcg0.png)

I actually hate unboxing videos because usually folks are haphazard and reckless with stuff (again, one-handed).

EDIT: The SCISSOR! Holy shite that thing was sharper than an Exacto knife and scratched my floor.

That's why he has a turboexpress, it does not have to be plugged in so it's "legal"

Purty cool, esteban, getting into the spirit of things, the Turbo Spirit that is! ;) So I vote you the 2nd greatest PCEFXer 'round here and I nominate you to be PCEFX's mascot as well. Where would this place be without your endless enthusiasm ?? I dunno how you do it, I just don't... You're unusually and perpetually happy...

First, thanks to everyone for your kind words--I have become less and less worried of embarrassing myself in goofy videos.

... You're unusually and perpetually happy...

My favorite things in life are very dark/sad/depressing/pessimistic (films/songs/stories/art), so I suppose it all balances out. Seriously. (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcgs.png) My favorite chocolate: BITTERSWEET. See what I mean? Seriously, though, I have extra (un)healthy servings of  stress/frustration in my diet...like everyone. Why can't stress have one positive benefit? Like...freshen my breath? Why do I have to worry about ass-breath in addition to everything else?

Goofiness is my coping mechanism. (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcgs.png)

Oh wait, you are an actor?

My over-acting was ridiculous! I should have toned it down a bit...luckily, my inability to keep a straight face will keep me out of the acting profession (I kept laughing the entire time, especially when I got on the floor--ha!).

Loved the combination of camo pajama pants with the dress shirt!

I was hoping someone would appreciate that combo (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcgs.png). I wore those Camo PJ pants at family Christmas party yesterday with a similar dress shirt. FASHION BE DAMNED, those PJ pants are comfortable.

You totally look like such a happy boy playing your freshly opened game !!

I'll tell you why: I had forgotten about the awesome tune that plays during the bonus stages! SUCH A GREAT TUNE and I had not listened to it in a long, long time. NightWolve will notice that this song has a somber undercurrent--my favorite (in fact, I prefer to spell "somber" as "sombre"...it just captures the mood better. Like "kool" instead of "cool".)

That spot is untouchable. It goes to Macaulay Culkin. An old TG-16 advertisement invokes the child star's love for NEC's console.

Anyway, Macaulay posts here, from time to time, but prefers to be discrete. You might be able to figure out his username if you look up members who've had an account for more thean 8 years...(http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcgs.png)

I voted thesteve (AKA stevie wonder) in another thread (http://www.pcenginefx.com/forums/index.php?topic=13232.msg274202#msg274202). ;) Sure, he's typically very, very short on words (it's hard to get more than 2-3 sentences out of him in a post or PM), and I'd rather talk to our mascot esteban most of the time, but you take his technical contributions into account, a) early designs of the S-Video circuit, b) an affordable, Do-It-Yourself, YPbPr Component circuit, c) standardizing a bigger 3.5" LCD mod for your TurboExpress, d) being, overall, frighteningly knowledgeable with NEC hardware issues, both electrical and mechanical, and having resurrected tons of dead NEC systems for the folks, I put him in the top spot, most certainly he'd belong somewhere in the top 5 by others reckoning no doubt.

I have a hat from my grandpa that would make me genuine Amish. If I could choose, though, I'd lean towards Mennonite. Get me some technology.

My brother did the camerawork and edited everything. It's funny because he has now surpassed me (I used to be the one who would film/edit/etc.). (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcgs.png)

I gotta make another video with him in the next week or two. (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcds.png)
